Loyalty

I'm a person who has a great sense of loyalty. For the first two years of middle school I felt obligated to sit at a certain table for lunch. One of my best friends (more like my only best friend) in elementary sat there and I felt like I had to, too. I know it sounds dumb but I do think about from time to time. In this situation, that sense of loyalty hurt me.
Loyalty has always been a virtue for me. I feel loyal to my morals and my friends. But sometimes when you're too loyal you hurt yourself. Believing in something can lead you to be pushed around or be blind. You could be pushed around by your friends if you're too loyal. You could also be blind to another side of a topic or to another aspect of your friends. (Have you ever heard of crushing on someone so hard that you can't see anything they do as wrong? Kinda like that) So always be aware of you're loyalty to things. You could end up sitting at the wrong lunch table.
