Walking through those doors is probably the easiest thing I'll do today. Every few months it's something new. A new school, Mom has a new job, new dunker boyfriend living with us. Could life get any worse?

But of course, those words are magical. Everything always gets worse.

I trudge up the steps of Riceville High School. I have a feeling these lion statues are mocking me. I stop at the top step. My nerves are tense, my mind is going every were, and my body just hates me. Every first day ends up tragically. I never make any friends, ever and my mom always has to pick me up.

Today, will be different. I will make it change. I take a deep breath and swing open the door. Almost stumbling over my feet, I silently and cowardly sneak down the middle of the hallway.

I turn a corner. At least I took a tour of the school about a week ago so I don't look like a total loser.

I almost bump into a girl that looks popular. She's wearing pink, pink, and more pink. It was almost sickening to see that much pink.

I almost sneak pass without her noticing me, "Hey you. With the disgusting gray hoodie."

I turn around to see her staring right at me. I of course had a gray hoodie.

I point at myself, "Yeah you. Get over here. I want to talk to you."

I walk over to Miss Sickening Pink Tress. She looks at me.

"First things first, I know every body in this school and I'm gonna guess you're new. Ground rules. I'm the top of the food chain around here. If anybody wants to be somebody, they have to go through me first, got that. Good. Secondly, Anything and everything around here is mine. You have a problem with something, you better keep your mouth shut cause your here for the long run. Oh and my name is Amber Hilton. Remember that and you might get somewhere around here. What's your name," This Amber chic demanded almost everything and presented a time bomb waiting to be denoted.

"Gwen," I muttered with my hood over my face and I then relieved how wonderful my sneakers looked today.

"What was that? Didn't quite catch that," she leaned forward like she had a hearing problem. She might of well had one With all that pink, I'm surprised she's not blind.

"I said my name is Gwen. Gwen Rain. Can I go now? I have things I need to do," I answer louder and more annoyed than shy. I looked Amber straight in the eye and I swear I say The Devil screaming for mercy in there.

I flinched a little. She gave me a freezing death stare, "You go when I say you can go. And, Gwen. Your new school nick name is Guano. I hope you enjoy it."

I stare her straight in the eye. For the longest time, or at least it felt like, Amber and I held our selves a little Death Stare Battle. These next few months aren't gonna be pretty, I know that for sure.
