Chapter 7: A Short Break

"What did you do Sara?!" I scream in her face as Amber scurries away like one of those crying dolls.

Sara just stares at me with a slight grin on her face. She looks pleased and proud of something that might of didn't do.

I doubt she even heard me scream at her. I screamed at her once again. Still no response.

I sit down and stare at my food tray. That apple crisp I was just about to eat didn't look so tasty along with the beef and noodles. I slide my tray over and cuddled up with my head on the table with my arms.

I felt terrible that my best friend would do something so low. Maybe even lower then Amber would do.

I felt a finger tap on my shoulder. I ignored it. Again the finger tapped on my shoulder. This time a voice came with it.

"Gwen? Are you okay?" it was Sara. I didn't want to talk to her right now, and it's only been like five minutes sense Amber stormed away.

I glared into the darkness, feeling my anger at her burning a hole into my heart. It felt weird, but she needed to be a good person. I needed her to be a good person. I want her too be. I guess I don't need her to be. I'm just as selfish as Amber. 

Again Sara taps on my shoulder, "Gwen I didn't do it if that's why your mad. I will admit I kind of wish it was me though. Who ever did that will be like a folk lord or what ever they called       them. Gwen... just talk to me please. Your my best friend."

I guess I had enough of rage. She did sound genuine as well.

I lifted my head to stare her in the face, "Promise me you will never stoop that low like that person did. Promise?!"

She nodded. I felt a smile creep to my face. I then grabbed my food and we started being friends again.

During that time though, I was stuck wondering who told Amber's boyfriend and even if he was her boyfriend. Who was her boyfriend anyway?
