The rain softly hit the window as Nerd bit into an apple, her fingers typing away on her newly cleaned keyboard. She smiled at how perfect the story seemed and stopped to rest her eyes for a moment. "Damn these glasses." She muttered, taking them off and rubbing her eyes. Nerd got up for a moment but decided to sit down, rubbing her eyes once more. Nerd looked at her story again and frowned. "Why... Is it so bad now?" She asked herself. She was about to delete it when suddenly a flash of lighting was seen.
Nerd let out a squeal as the light from her house went out. She crawled to the nearest wall and leaned on it for safety. "I-It's just a storm... I-it'll be over soon..." She said to herself, bringing her knees up to her chest. She shook softly as the storm continued and eventually fell asleep right beside her wall.

Nerd woke up to the sound of footsteps and looked around her room. She got up and stretched as she walked to her kitchen. Grabbing a new apple, Nerd sat down in front of her laptop and looked through her files in search for the story she was working on last night before the power went out. "That's odd..." She mumbled as she realized the story wasn't where it had been before. Nerd put down her apple and checked to make sure she hadn't deleted it. "Shit... And I worked so hard on it too..." She sat back and was about to grab her apple but noticed it was no longer there.
She heard some more footsteps coming from her bathroom and got up, grabbing an old book of hers from off the shelf. She held it up, ready for any surprise attacks, and proceeded to the bathroom. Opening the door, she saw a figure behind her shower curtain and gulped. With a shaky hand, she pulled back the curtain and saw a boy around her age, eating the apple happily. "Oh... Hi." He smiled. Nerd tried her best to hold back any startled cries as she nodded at the unfamiliar boy. "W-who are you?" She asked, her voice cracking slightly. "How do you not know who I am? You created me after all!" He chirped happily. "I-I did?" Now Nerd was really confused as she put down the book. "Yep, last night you were supposed to finish but you never did, you were unhappy with it... with me..." His tone suddenly changed as he stepped out from behind the curtain.
Nerd had got to see his features much better as she couldn't seem to take her eyes off him. His eyes seemed to imprison the stars as he looked at her and his hair was perfectly in the mix of looking messy and incredibly sexy. She blushed at him as he stepped closer to her. "I-it's not that... It's just... It was difficult to continue the story." She tried her best to keep her voice from breaking as she explained. "I see... Well I'm hungry..." His tone went back to normal as if he never said a word before.
Nerd watched as he walked out of the bathroom and followed him into her kitchen. He went to grab things out of the fridge but was surprised when he found it almost completely empty. "Where's all your food?" He asked, looking at her for the first time since the bathroom meetup. "There was a storm yesterday, I couldn't go out." She explained. "Oh, well then..." He thought for a moment. "Let's go buy groceries together!" He smiled, taking her hand in his. Nerd didn't say anything as she looked up at him, wondering what the hell she would do now that he was around. 'I'll deal with it later...' She thought, letting the odd boy drag her off to the store happily.
