Keisha's POV

I was at my locker with Jana and Tae, China had practice so she had to leave.

"How was Mr. French's class?" I asked Jana.

"It was alright. I don't really like it that much, he's always off topic."

That was true.

"He'll jump from the work to military service then back to the work and then have a whole story to tell." She laughed.

"That..is very true."

I closed my locker and turned to Tae.

"How was Mrs. Lawson's class T?"

"It was great, but I have a lot of work to catch up on so I'll holla at you later. You still coming with me Jana?"

"Yeah, I have tons of work too. Tell Josh we said bye. Have fun, love you boo." Jana hugged me.

"Love you too babes," I laughed. "and I will. Bye T!"

They left and I started my way out the double doors.

On my way out I ran into Josh.

"Hey, I was about to call you." He put his phone back in his pocket.

"Luckily you ran into me."

"Yeah, but you ready?" He asked grabbing my bag from me.

"Yeah, you want me to follow you?"

"That could work, did you want to stop by your house and drop your car off there and then just ride with me?" He asked.

"Yeah, that'll work. I kinda wanna change too, I feel like this is too basic." I laughed.

"Nah, you look comfortable. If you want to you can though."

We walked to my car.

I unlocked my car and Josh opened my door.

"Ight cool, well I'll follow you then." He gave me a tight hug and closed my door after I got in.

I pulled into the driveway and got out of my car as did Josh.

"You can come inside, I won't be that long. I'm just gonna put my stuff up and probably change my shoes."

"Alright, cool. Take your time."

He followed me inside and waited in the living room. I sat my bag down on my bed.

There was a note on my bed. It was from my mom.

It read:

Keisha,

Everything is fine with your dad, but I won't be home until sometime next week because I have to work. I went grocery shopping so there's food and stuff like that. Be sure to visit your dad for me sweetie. I love you, call me if you need anything.

I was glad everything was alright but I hate when she has to work long shifts.

I changed my shoes put on something a little more comfortable went downstairs.
