I pulled up to the school and glanced around the lot trying to find a parking space. After a few minutes, I found one near the entrance doors, which I was greatful for.

After killing the engine and retriving my things from the passenger seat, I locked my doors and started towards the building.

"Goodmorning Ms.Reedy glad to see you here." I was greeted by our school secretary, Mrs. Marshall.

I smiled and replied. "Goodmorning Mrs. Marshall."

I walked through the crowd of people in the hallway trying to get to my locker.

Once I got there I put in the combination and opened it to put my backpack in, grabbing my Caculus book and my pencils.

"Hey girl" It was China. My other two friends Jana and Tae couldn't come to school because they were both out of town so it was just me and China today.

"Want to walk me to class so those group of boys don't bother me?"

She pointed to the large group of guys gathered around the History classroom.

"Put in some headphones." I told her.

"Then they're just going to either say stuff louder, or say stuff because they think I can't hear them."

China crossed her arms over her chest.

I sighed giving in. "If I'm late to class, you owe me a cookie."

"Come on fatty, if you would stop talking and walk me you can make it to class on time and I won't have to buy you anything." She retorted.

I playfully smacked her arm.

"Let's go China."

I walked with her across the hall to Ms. Clack's room where the boys were gathered.

They were all pretty cute but I don't think they would go for me.

And I don't have time for boys anyways. I need to get my education right so that I can make some money. (🤑)

China went as far as pulling me into the classroom with her.

"China, I have to go."

"Oh yeah, my bad. See you at lunch." She waved.

I walked out the class room avoiding the stares that I was getting from the guys.

"Aye ma, you looking cute today." It was Josh.

I've know him since the third grade and he's one of the biggest players out there.

He was cool, I just wouldn't go out with him.

"Josh, don't play." I told him

"Oh well good morning to you too then Ke."

"Good morning Josh, now can I get to class?" I asked politely.

"Can I walk you?"

I shook my head and laughed knowing he wasn't going to leave me alone.

I guess you could say Josh and I were pretty close but it was nothing serious, he was like a boy bestfriend.

He would take up for me a vise versa.

"Come on Josh." I told him.

We continued walking and talking making jokes here and there before arriving.
