A few days later, after doing nothing but settling in, Team Nightmare decided more traveling around was needed. They hardly knew their own city. This time around, they made certain Raven was fed, and that Wik and Kaji had enough cookies to share.
Their first stop was the mall. Kaji was excited to learn that there was a Hot Topic. She and Raven practically raced there, and left Wik behind, but only for a few seconds. Soon Wik charged past them, scooping up Raven in the process.
"Ha! I win. And I was not even trying." Wik boasted, placing Raven back on the ground. Today he wore a blue hoodie. His hair was a bit of a mess, but attractive nevertheless.
But even he couldn't beat the guy at the desk of Hot Topic. Well that was according to Raven. Kaji didn't see how she found the guy attractive.
A sixteen year old Raven stood to the side, stalking the more cashier with her eyes (no, she totally stalked him with her nose). Eventually she gave up and began to take a very detailed look at the store.
"Hello, can I help you with anything in particular?" Raven looks up to find that Hot Topic cashier had approached her. "Uh... Um... I need to find something like a best friend thingy, except for siblings with a little brother." She could barely talk at the moment.
The cashier chuckled, as if sensing the fact that the vampire was crushing on him. "I'm Red." He offered his hand, which Raven shook rather stifly (what is this? Divergent?). "Oh so you're shy. Do you have a name?"
Raven smiled at Jay a little bit. "My name is Raven, but some people call me Sema. Call me either." She invites, looking up at him.
"Thats great. Well, I'll see what I can do to assist you." With that, Jay walked away.
"Don't we know him from school, Raven?" Kaji approaches from behind, startling Raven. Now that she thought about it, she realized they did. "Wow he looks different." She muttered, noting how his red hair was a much deeper red than usual. "Maybe he's a demon." Wik suggests.
They stand there, trying to figure out what the possible ginger could be. After a few minutes, Kaji's stomach growls. Wik and Raven give her a look.
"What?! It's not as if the only thing in the world I need is blood." She grumbles, becoming agitated by her siblings.
"Let's get the pup some food."
"Pup? Pup! I'm older than you Wik!"
"How does Tops, the pizza joint sound?" Raven interrupts, physically stepping between her younger sister and brother. "Sounds good!"
Silently, they make their way to Tops. Kaji orders impatiently, while Wik and Raven look on, wondering who she was going to kill first.
"Excuse me a moment, I have no idea what I'm doing." The man taking Kaji's orders mumbles. Wik has to hold Kaji back to prevent her from eating the poor cashier.
A few moments after he escapes to the back, a new face pops up. A familiar face. All at the same time, the small group shouted, "John?!"
