The office known as Alias Investigations was now encased in a scent only described as what burning garbage, cigarette smoke and alcohol combined would smell like, pure putrid. But Jessica didn't care as she slumped back in her chair with a cigar currently in her mouth, unconventional for a woman but Jessica wasn't any ordinary woman and frankly she didn't give a shit. As Trish watched her speed through different case files like a fat kid running after a free Twinkie. "How did you get so good at that?" Asked Trish amazed, currently distracted on Jessica's skill rather than thinking about Kilgrave. "When you see the shit I have to see, you get used to seeing, reading and hearing about rapists, pedophiles, druggies, whores etcetera around here. Malcolm get me the numbers of the firms that these people work at." Jess said bluntly, spreading three files across her desk. One was a scruffy looking caucasian man, black scruffy short hair with a neck beard. Accused of five rape charges. Next was a clean shaven bald black man with a scar on the right side of his cheek reaching down to his neck. Accused of murder and kidnapping charges. The last one was a girl looking to be around thirty years old. Long black hair, caucasian with bruises on her face with a wide grin plastered on her face. Accused of murdering her husband and son. "My god..." Muttered Trish through surprised gasps. "Welcome to my world sweetheart, after these scum are dealt with, we'll talk about Kilgrave." "Hello, you have a lovely house indeed, how much is it worth? I'm thinking of buying it today." Said the man in purple with his posh English accent. He stood with a briefcase in his right hand and his left explored the fine painted pine wood door frame. The man in which he talked to seemed rightfully confused, this man just came up on his door and offered to buy his house. "I'm sorry sir but it isn't for sale." He said to Kilgrave firmly, scrunching his nose in a defiant manner. "How much is it worth? Tell me now. I have 500,000 dollars in this briefcase, half a million dollars and it can be all yours plus a 5 thousand dollar bonus that will be sent to your bank account for being out of here empty in two days." Kilgrave proclaimed as he opened the briefcase to reveal stacks upon stacks of hundred dollar bills. "In fact being polite is boring, you will call the closest place available to stay and accept my offer with a gleeful acceptance. Than get you and all of your farm rodents out of this house and take everything with you." Kilgrave concluded with a smile on his face, the purple shades in his eyes lighting up when the man nodded and ran to get his phone to start making calls. "One step closer to my dream coming true."
