Date Night

By the next day, things were pretty much back to normal. Juli and I were talking again and so were Mitch and Jason.

We went to the beach and hung out just like the day before, but this time, Jason and Juli didn't take a walk.

I caught up with Mya and Juli and we told eachother what had gone on with our boyfriends in the past few days.

It was only about six when everyone wanted to go back to the hotel, but nobody complained.

Back at the hotel, Mitch and I went to our room to change into normal clothes. Mitch had decided that tonight we would have our first official date.

I grabbed a pair of jean shorts and my In Benja We Trust shirt and tried to change before Mitch got into the room. Needless to say, I failed miserably. When Mitch walked in, I had my shirt stuck over my head and my shorts were unbuttoned.

Mitch started laughing histerically as he helped me put the shirt on correctly.

"Nice shirt," he grinned.

"I would hope you like it, it is one of your designs," I teased.

We finished getting ready and got into the truck.

"So where are you taking me for our first official date?" I asked.

"It's a surpriiiiiiise," Mitch smiled.

"But I hate surprises!"

"Too bad!"

"Meanie."

"You love me."

"Yes I do, but that doesn't mean you're not a meanie!"

"If I'm a meanie then you're a meanie's girlfriend."

"Oh.. In that case, you're not a meanie."

"Yay!"

We finally reached a place with a small little sign. "Lazer Tag"

"Mitchell Hughes, really? Lazer tag?"

"Yeah, is that bad?"

"NO! It's perfect!"

After almost 4 hours of lazer tag, I was ready to go back to the hotel.

When we got back, Juli and Mya were waiting to know what had happened.

"Did he take you to dinner?"

"Or did you guys go see a movie?"

"Neither! We went to play lazer tag!" I said happily.

"This makes you happy because...?" Mya said.

"Because it's real life Call of Duty almost," I said as if it was obvious.

"Exactly! Ugh, you guys are so cute! Now go back to your boyfriend!" Juli said.

"Okay BAI!!" I said.

I went back to our hotel room. The door was unlocked, so I just walked in. Mitch was talking to someone in the other room. I couldn't help but listen.

"So what are you gonna do when we have to leave Florida?" Jerome asked.

"I dunno... I might ask her to come to Canada with me... You think that she'd say yes?" Mitch said.

"Dude, she loves you. I'm sure she would!"

"But... What about Mya and Juli? She won't leave them behind."

"Rob and Tyler are both in Canada, too. Duh."

"Maybe they would come live with us... They could all three love together, I mean they already do, right?"

"Yeah, man. Hey, I've gotta get going. See ya tomorrow."

"Hokeyp. Bai Biggums!"

"Bai Biggums!"

Jerome walked out of the room just as I walked in.

"Hey babe! How are you?" Mitch said.

"Great! How are youuu?" I said, acting oblivious to the previous conversation.

"Amazing. I has a question for you though."

"Hokeyp! Ask away!"

"Do you think... that... maybe you, Mya, and Juli would maybe... want to... movetocanada?"

"What?"

"Do you, Mya, and Juli maybe want to move to Canada? If not, that's fine I mean-"

"No, we've just dreamed of moving to Canada for five years of our lives, of course we wanna go, you idiot!" I said, cutting him off.

"Really?" He said, surprised.

"Duh! Lemme go tell them!" I said, running to get them.

"Guys. Mitch just asked me if I wanted to move to Canada. He said you guys could come too!!" I said, happily.

"OMG. Yes yes yes! I gotta tell Rob!" Juli said, running out if the room.

"You?" I said to Mya.

"Nah, I'll just stay in the U.S. while my two best friends move to Canada. OF COURSE I'M COMING!!" Mya yelled, going to tell Tyler.

I immediately ran to see Mitch and tell him the news.

I put on an extremely sad face as I walked towards him. He looked really worried.

"I'm sorry Mitch, they said yes," I told him.

"Oh, I- Wait what!?!? Really!?" Mitch said excitedly.

"Yeah!!" Then I got a text. "Mya just texted, the next flight to Ohio is tomorrow at six pm. We can go get our stuff then! Wanna join?"

"Absolutely!"

"Yay! And while we're there, you get to meet my family! Is that okay?"

"Sure! I can't wait!" Mitch said. "But won't your family not like the fact that you're moving without notice?"

"Nah, I live with Juli and Mya, I hardly ever see my family," I said.

"Hokeyp. Well, we better get packing, and I guess Tyler and Rob are coming, too."

"Probably everyone else, too. Anyways, we need sleep first, we can pack in the morning," I said, yawning.

"Alright, babe. Night!" Mitch said.

"Night," I said, smiling.

For once in my life, things were going right. At least, I thought so.
