"Sometimes beautiful things come into our lives out of nowhere. We can't always understand them, but we have to trust in them. I know you want to question everything, but sometimes it pays to just have a little faith."

I was glad to leave Havendust.

Mom and I left the house, and with two bus tickets, and our minds towards Michigan...

I didn't have time to think about Bade.

I didn't get his phone number because our phones hadn't been of much help that day. There had been no signal nor internet, and besides, all we had was each other's company.

Now November, I sat outside gazing up at the sky.

Surprisingly, the sky hadn't completely darkened. But it was still pretty out, and I could sort of see the stars already.

I hugged my pea coat to bring more warmth, and tightened my purple scarf around my neck. A cold front was coming in, and right before coming out here Mom tried keeping me inside. "Stay inside where there's heat," she said, stressing the word 'heat'.

I refused to do so, and besides she knew how much of a stargazer I was, and the supermoon was supposed to occur tonight.

Feeling my phone vibrate in my pocket, I took it out and saw that I'd gotten a notification. It was from James.

do u want to hang out?

I put my phone back in my pocket, and sat down on the bench. James and me hadn't been going as strong as I hoped, and I would dare blame Bade for this.

He was a couple hundred miles away, and he wasn't the one that called the person they're dating by somebody else's name.

I was stupid for doing that.

Incredulously stupid.

James and I were at school, and we'd been talking, and enjoying each other's company.

We'd been dating for two weeks already.

"I know your my girlfriend now, and I probably should already know this. But what is it you like to do?" He said to me. Leaning against his locker.

My smile dropped for barely a second I would say. But I plastered it back on and refused to think back to the last day of school. I threw my guitar strap bag over my other shoulder, and tried thinking up some answer that didn't sound too lame.
