Still holding on

Chapter 1

I slowly opened my eyes in confusion as I have not heard my alarm.

I reached to the side of my bed to grab my phone.

My eyes widened as I checked the time.

I have 20 minutes before school starts

OMG I'm going to be late.

I jump out of bed and run to the bathroom.

Hop in the shower and run back to my room to put on some clothes.

Good thing I already prepared and planned an outfit.

I struggle to put on my shoes and as I do I call Rubys' name to check if she is still here

I heard no response so I just concluded that she left earlier on.

I run to the door and collected my bag than got the keys and run out the door.

Of course I did lock the door

So me being the smartest person ever I sarcastically say to myself I decided to run to school.

I got to school out of breath.

I couldn't run no longer so I as walking as fast so I could as I entered school.

The hallways were empty all I can hear was me heavy breathing.

I was walking to science because I had double science this morning.

When I heard "Miss Karr" I turn around to see the principle

"Yes sir"

"Your late"

"Sorry sir"

"You have got late detention after school today don't be late" he said as he gave me a firm look

"I won't" I said as he walked away

I opened the door and walked in the classroom

Everyone was looking at me

How embarrassing.

"Oh Miss Karr as you decided to come late.." I mentally rolled my eyes like as if I purposely came late

"Please tell us why are you.."

wait a minute who is sitting in my seat

"..late to my lesson'

"Sorry miss I woke up late "

"Next time wake up earlier than"

I didn't say anything in response before I get into trouble

"You can take seat in the front for today"

I seat down and turned around towards Brennen

"Sorry" he mouthed

I smiled and turned back towards the lesson.

But I can't help but think who's the new girl?
