After breakfast Olivia asked me to go to the beach shop with Kaden as we were going to the seaside tomorrow.

When we got to the shop it was kinda awkward because I was still getting used to being around a boy. Kaden was ok though, I don't think he minded me being shy and non-talkative, he could've ripped my ear off with how much he talked.

He told me about the funny moments with his friends, while I pushed the trolley.

"Right, so one time me and Archer were at the beach surfing and we heard the girliest scream a couple of kilometres away from us, we both turned around and Cole was rolling around on the beach because he was stung by a jellyfish", Kaden told me with a light chuckle.

With all the actions Kaden done as he told me the story I could not stop laughing. I turned to look up at Kaden to only see he was looking down at me, with maybe a look of interest.

I blushed at his gaze, "sorry. Your laugh is just really refreshing", Kaden said. As we continued walking, I wondered why it was so refreshing, he's a hot guy, he must have many friends to joke around with.

As we turned the next corner, I heard a screech, "Kaden"!

A girl with very short shorts and a top which barely covered her boobs had jumped into Kaden's arms. I felt something stir in my stomach as the girl placed her lips on Kaden. It could be jealously, no its not I fought back with my subconscious. I couldn't be jealous of this girl, I haven't known Kaden this long, I can't have had feelings for him yet.

"Grace, this is Jessie my friend", Kaden said unsurely while introducing the girl who looked like she could be in a magazine full of naked girls, like the ones my father use to hide underneath the bed, where I once found them when I was hiding from him when I was a child.

I spoke a small hello and wave towards the girl. "I'm Grace", I said quietly.

The girl, Jessie just looked at me up and down and then rolled her eyes in disgust. Rude much.

Instead of saying anything back, I looked down at the shopping list and started to push the trolley down the next isle.

Kaden doesn't even notice me moving away, the blonde in his arms is probably yapping his ear off with her screechy annoying voice.

When I finished getting the food, I got to the till where Kaden was waiting for me and lip stick marks were covering his neck. Anger started to consume my mind, which caused me to not notice the grumpy look on his face. So, I just wanted to run away, so that's what I did.

I left the shopping with Kaden and ran out the shop, running away from the hurt, I thought me, and Kaden had a connection. I thought he could maybe be my prince charming, I should've have listened to myself, fairy tales and the happy endings aren't meant for people like me. People with dark pasts, people who bring out the worst in who they love.
