JUNG KOOK P.O.V
"P-Park J-Jimin?" I choked out,locking eyes with the stranger. I felt Taehyung's grip on my hand tightened and I was pulled forward, breaking the eye contact between me and the ash blonde.
"Let's get home, I need to work..." Taehyung whispered, dragging me out of the park, feet crushing the crisp leaves scattered on the ground. The piney smell of the trees refreshed my body and I was being dragged across the school entrance and into Tae's house.
"My shoes are wrecked because of you..." I grumbled, taking off my sneakers and eyeing the smooth edges at the heel. "Now I need new shoes..."
"Forget about that, I have good news." Taehyung smiled, tapping his phone with his index finger. "The principal just said we have a camp next week, Monday to Wednesday"
"And?"
"And we will be planning our Autumn Faire there." He finished, leaving me dumbfounded.
I was forcing down the shrieking in my body to not burst out in front of him completely. I must stay with Taehyung for 3 days straight outside and others would humiliate me down to the core. I, the nerdy and idiotic Class President , staying with the handsome and smart Kim Taehyung.
Not so realistic if you ask me. I groaned and raked my fingers through my greasy hair, I didn't know what to do and I must get prepared for the camp.
"We must meet up in school at 7am on Monday," Taehyung added, staring at the phone screen as he spoke. I did not respond to that after, as it was quite familiar , going to school at 7 am in the morning.
"I need new clothes then," I breathed out. "You go work on your stuff, I'll go shopping."
"No, I am going with you." The brunette insisted. "You will risk hurting yourself once again, and I do not want that. Come on, the work can wait."
I was going to protest as he began slipping on his shoes and grabbing his huge coat from the hangar. Wonwoo gave me a black cat similar to Taehyung's and I put in on, the fabric warming up my body instantly. Taehyung grabbed me by the hand and led me outside. We walked towards the nearby mall which was painting white and towering over us. Taehyung had forgotten to wear his mask as his ears were turning a shade of red which was tempting me to warm his up. We entered the mall and was greeted with a mad amount of people roaming the area, chatting, having an eat out at the cafe and carrying shopping bags.
"Oh ...my..."
"Looks like you haven't gone shopping for awhile, come on, let's get you some new things." He smiled at me and his eyes turned into crescents and his mouth turned into a boxy smile that was shown on his selcas on social media. He took off his cream-colored coat and folded it neatly and held it in his arms. Still holding my hand, I continued walking.
There were many people walking past us throwing at us some hushed whispers and glares towards me. I kept my head hung low and Taehyung just smiled and waved to the crowds. I inched closer to the confident brunette and I also gripped onto his hand tighter. I could visualize a smirk on his face as we entered a clothing shop. I peeked up from my black fringe and saw a wide array of clothing and shoes, accompanied by a noisy sales clerk with caked on makeup and slicked back hair.
I fiddled with the buttons I had on the coat as I saw Taehyung greeting the sales clerk and began choosing outfits that I did not even know fitted me. He has two sets of shirts accompanied by jeans, leather pants, and a leather jacket.
"Try these, I think it should fit." He said, passing me the clothing to try on.
~~~~~~~~TIME SKIPE~~~~~~~~
"You know you never really should buy me these expensive clothes," I mumbled as I carried one of the shopping bags with two boxes of new shoes.
"But you fit them quite well, you can mix and match later on ." He said. "Let's start packing for the camp, shall we? "
"Yah. Don't tell me what to do."
I scampered into the house and took out the first thing I saw lying on top of the bed.
My bag.
It was big enough to accommodate three days worth of clothes and I wasn't going to bring another heavy backpack as it was too bulky. I threw in a tank top and comfortable shorts for nightwear and sets of clothes . Even extra socks and boxers .
I must say that my bag was them completely full and left enough space for my water bottle. My hands trembled at the memory at the shiny black metal I once held in my hands. That warmth I once held in my hands.
"Why so gloomy?" Taehyung asked, wrapping his toned arms around my waist. "You seemed troubled."
"It is nothing..." I trailed off, my brain replaying the scene of Jimin standing in front of my eyes , smiling and waving at me at the abandoned park. " It's just ... my friend."
"Park Jimin, I suppose?" He asked as if reading my mind. "You childhood friend?"
"Yeah... How did you know?" I asked, curious.
Taehyung tightened his grip around my waist, his hands clutching onto my short as if I was going to dissolve any second.
"I have my ways, Jung kook. " He replied after a while. His voice was deeper than usual, husky even, I blushed at the sound of his voice and the skinship we were having right then. I sighed and pried his hands off my waist and sat on the bed, raking my fingers through my hair.
"You and your stupid ways. " I muttered, shooting him a glare. "Now, leave me alone, I want to think properly."
"Think about the love you have for me~" The brunette sang as he smiled cheekily and ran off , dodging the white pillow I threw at him. I went to close the door and sighed, resting my head on the cold wood. I breathed in the rosy smell of the room, it calm down my nerves a little, making me sigh in utter relief. I did not like the fact that my life was alwasy topsy-turvy.
Well, nothing normal happens to you when you are called Jeon Jung Kook, aren't I right?
