You closed the door behind you, leaving Byakuya in the library alone.
"Hey, Taka. You feeling better?" You asked.
"Yes, yes, sorry for my sudden outburst. I'm just not used to making friends, but thank you." He smiled at you kindly.
"It's no problem. Making friends is always nice for me."
He grabbed your shoulder and looked you in the eyes.
"(Y/N), you are very kind, you know that?" He said in a serious tone.
"No.. No one has ever told me that."
He stepped back and looked away. "Well, I just did."
You blushed and spoke softly. "Thank you."
For a moment you just stood their in silence, next to each other in the quiet hallway, awkwardly.
"Let us do something that friends do!"
His sudden bursts of words made you jump. The thing he said made you jump even more.
"L-like what?"
"I do not know, you are the expert of friendship." He said admiringly.
"Ah, no I'm no expert.."
"You are! You know so much!"
You thought about this for a while.
Am I an expert? No.. I don't have that many friends. Only a few girls in my class and I'm not extremely close to them. Can I really give Taka any solid friendship advice?
"Something friends do... Ah! I got it. Do you have a phone?" You asked.
"Yes I do, but I only use it for calls, photos and emails." He said while taking out a black flip phone out of his pocket.
"Well, Taka, you now have another use for it."
He looked at you confused while you took his phone out of his hand. You opened it and went into his contacts folder, there you saw something equally sad and predictable. He only had two numbers:
Mondo
Home
You giggled a bit before adding your own number to it.You handed him back his phone. "You know how to text, right?"
"Yes, that is something I know how to do." He said.
"Then, I guess I'll text you tonight. When are you open?"
"I spend all of my free time studying, but I can adjust my schedule to fit your texting in."
He took out a small notebook and opened it to check something. He looked up at you.
"You can text me from 6:45 to 7:05. Are you alright with that?" He slammed his notebook shut and put it back in his pocket.
"Yes, but your the one who has my number, so you have to make the first text, okay?"
He looked worried. "What must I say?"
"Just... Say hello or hi. Y'know, a greeting to start the conversation. Just.. Talk normally"
"Thank you for the advice, (Y/N). I shall text you directly at 6:45, please reply."
"Of course! Oh, and Taka?"
"Yes?" He turned and looked at you.
"Thanks for the lesson, I actually had fun talking to you, oh, and studying of course." You smiled broadly.
He suddenly blushed hard. "N-no problem. Bye." He suddenly walked away quickly. He looked down and still looked as straight as a pole.
"Oh my gosh," Taka said to himself. "F-fun? Me? Fun? What? Really?" He was confused. No one had ever called him fun. He even knows that people who study the whole time and yell at people in the hall aren't usually known as fun. He was blushed hard and looked down at the floor. "She is so kind..." He said as he almost started tearing up again.
At the same time you stood outside the library, still confused and shocked at what happened.
Did I say something? Oh my god, did I make him uncomfortable? I definitely said something wrong.
You also started to blush and looked down at my the floor.
But to be honest, you did have a lot of fun. You learned so much about him and you also finally understand a bit of the Maths. You actually looked forward to your next lesson.
To be honest, you actually just look forward to talking to Taka again.
