Texting 101

As you continued updating your travel blog, you kept checking the clock on your wall, to see if it was 6:45 yet. You were oddly excited to text Taka, but at the same time you worried. Would he even know what to text.

He's probably going to be a bit formal in the beginning. Oh no, he definitely is gonna be. Maybe he has texted Mondo before, or Mondo had to show him how to text or what to text.

You didn't know this for sure. You didn't look at his text messages, since snooping on someone's phone is rude. He would especially be strict about it. He seems to be crazy about manners and rules. He is a hall monitor after all.

Suddenly you heard a buzzing sound.

The phone!

You quickly grabbed your phone that laid next to you on the table and opened up the lock screen to enter your texting app. Unfortunately, it wasn't Taka.

Asahina: hey!! how was the lesson today? ^^

(Y/N): yo. it was actually quite fun. i finally understand maths and i talked to him a bit.

Asahina: oohhh ;) how is he lol

(Y/N): tbh, he is such a cutie. he's super nice but he has zero social skills. OH AND GUESS WHAT???????

Asahina: what what what whaaattt

(Y/N): his best friend is Mondo Oowada. :o

Asahina: dude I already know. Lololol you are so behind.

(Y/N): hey its not my fault if I dont talk to the guys in my class. I hardly know anything about them.

Asahina: typing...

While Asahina was typing her message, you looked up at the time. 18:44.
Just as the clock on your phone changed to 18:45, your phone buzzed again.

This time it was definitely Taka. Only an unfamiliar number was displayed, but it was because you gave Taka your number. You quickly typed a message to Asahina.

(Y/N): gtg!!!

You closed the conversation with Asahina and opened to Taka's, quickly saving his number.

Taka: Hello, (Y/N).

(Y/N): hey taka!

Taka: How are you this evening?

(Y/N): im good and u?

Taka: I am fine, thank you.

(Y/N): so how was the studying

Taka: Informational.

(Y/N): what did u study

Taka: English, Geography and Science.

(Y/N): cool ^^

Taka: Yes.

This conversation is going nowhere. He's definitely way too formal.. I need to make him more comfortable, without directly confronting him. I should try talking about things that he likes. Like... School..
