I had tried so hard to bury my past in the back of my mind. To not let my nostalgia, affect my better judgement. But there I was, sitting perched atop the Kuchki manor gate overlooking the entire compound. So many memories lead right back here. I could feel the night breeze whip past my face just like before. Well the little part of my face that could Be seen. I wore a mask like the one used in the stealth force.
I felt a small chill in the air, and that's when I heard a scream. As I neared closer to the cry, I heard a servant in the manor being attacked by a hollow. What was a hollow doing here? At the Kuchki manor no less, they were trying to die For sure.
But I couldn't feel or see byakuya around. If I didn't act quick she would be killed. I jumped down from the gate and flash stepped in front of the servant. I flash stepped behind the hollow and slashed the hollow in half.
But right as the remnants of the hollow disappeared, I felt a strong spiritual pressure closing in on the area. I knew exactly who it belonged to and I wasn't trying to confront its owner.
I was flash stepping away, when i turned around and a million petals were following me. I sped up but they were quick, before I knew it they sliced my calf and I fell off the roof.
I luckily landed on my feet, but who stood before me was none other than Byakuya. He was tall and slim but still muscular. His skin was paler than ever but his hair still cascaded freely around his broad shoulders. I could have tried to flash step away but his beauty had a firm grip on my body.
I usually could have flash stepped and beat him in the race, always have since we were kids but I was at a disadvantage with my leg slashed. Blood dripped from my wound to the ground, but I paid no mind to it because of the vision that was before me.
"Who are you trespasser?" Byakuya questioned. I said nothing. "Fine if you don't want to speak, I will make you. " he charged at me. I moved out the way but he still managed to keep up with me. We played this game for a few minutes. When he attacked I just flash stepped out the way.
"Why won't you strike back?" He asked plainly.
Once again I didn't answer. "Well I'm thoroughly impressed, very few are fast enough to allude my attacks. In fact only two women have to this day.But no matter I will eventually reach you." He said arrogantly and I eye rolled. Same old Byakuya. I couldn't draw my sword, not against him. He is a friend, or at least was a friend. A friend that I was better off staying out of the life of. And if he saw my sword he'd definitely know it was me.
But for that one brief moment i was thinking about all the memories I had with him and I just flipped out the way of his blade, nearly cutting my chest and neck. But instead my necklace dropped to the floor and my eyes widened as well as Byakuya's eyes when they fell on it.
He knew.
"SHIERI?" He said with a somewhat tremble in his voice. I stood up, from the kneeling position I was just in.
"SHIERI? Is that you?" He asked again. I turned my face away from him.
"Well I don't know who you are, or how you got that necklace but I will find out soon enough. Senbonzakura." His blade instantly turned into thousands of petals. But I knew that each petal wasn't so innocent, each one represented a tiny sword of its own.
I didn't want to fight him. Not like this anyway, he needed to know who it was. If he never saw the necklace maybe I could have gotten away, but I had a strong feeling he was not going to stop since he has.
I flashed stepped so I was right in front of Byakuya, knowing from years of sparring it was the safest place for me to be when he is using Senbonzakura. Once I got in front of him I took my mask off.
