"Keep it moving people!" Shawn says as he places a hand on Jordan's back to keep him on the move. "Aw, that boy's cute.." Rachel said to Chelsea and they turned around and pointed out possible boyfriend material.
"Girls, Shawn's trying to make our flight. Lets go." My mom is trying to contain herself, but really she hates being late.
We finished baggage check, so all we have to do is board. I can make out the tunnel, and the flight attendant standing by it. Her hair is in a perky bun and she's giving off a fake smile.
I honestly doubt we'll make this plane. We're the most dysfunctional family, ever. "Flight 466 to Orlando Florida is now closed." The voice purrs over the intercom.
That's our flight.
Now everyone is in a full out run with me at the back. I have Jordan on my hip, so we're going one speed : slow.
"Hey! Excuse me! Please let us on!! We have our tickets right here." Shawn says through disgusting pants of breath.
The lady takes a step back, and whispers something onto her walkie talkie. "Got it. Over." She says while eyeing us up.
"You may board, but there are limited seating." She gives us a shaky smile. Clearly, she doesn't want us on.
"Yeah, lady we have tickets." Shawn gives her the eye.
"Sir, I understand. We gave your seats up. The flight was supposed to board over an hour ago. You're late. Go take whatever open seat's available." I'm expecting her to snap her fingers in his face or something. Instead, she opens the tunnel and walks infront of us.
Chelsea looks at Shawn's face and starts laughing. I'm about to laugh but Evelyn grips my arm; pleading me to let it go. Evelyn raises an eyebrow at me, and I back off.
God she's really wanting me to love this guy.
When we get on the plane, numerous people give us the dirtiest of looks and eye rolls. My mom takes a seat in the middle next to Jordan and Chelsea. The rest of us keep walking back desperate for seats. Rachel and Evelyn find an open aisle of four.
They scoot in, leaving me next to Shawn. Pray for me?

As we're taking off, I pop gum in my mouth that Rachel hands us. According to her and her "college knowledge" chewing gum helps your ears from popping out.
"You like planes? Their cool really." Shawn grins at me. I can feel Evelyn's hand on my leg so I hold back my baby barf.
"Yeah. Totally fun when you're a hour and a half late." He just ignores me when I say this.
We're all instructed to sit down and buckle up until the pilot instructs us otherwise.
Being the oddball my mom is, she turns around and waves her arms like. Wacko at us. I hide my head while Shawn waves back. Chelsea groans.
The flight attendant rushes over to mom and tells her to sit down immediately, or we'll be kicked off of the plane.
Shawn has the brilliant idea of putting music on. Evelyn asks him to turn it down a bit, but he can't even hear her. I see the same flight attendant coming, and I speak up.
"I'm sorry ma'm. I've got it undercover. " I add a refreshing smile. She nods quietly and walks back up to her perch like thing.
I hit Shawn roughly on the hand. "Yes?" He says loudly. "Turn it down!!" He hears this time.
If he thinks I will EVER call him stepdad, he's got another thing coming. Evelyn is listening to her iPod. I actually want to talk to someone. Rachel switches sets with Evelyn, so we can talk some.
"Hey, I'm really gonna miss ya after this." She says with a smile. I hope someday I end up like Rachel. She's mega-gorgeous. Long silky brown hair, creamy complexion, and emerald green eyes. She always has the prettiest makeup too.
"Me too. Does Florida state have family day? I'd love to come." She smiles and nods. "Of course! I'd love for all of you to be there! Whadddyaa say, you let me do your
Makeup one day for Disney? Huh?" Rachel pleads. She's always wanting to do my makeup, or do my hair or anything that involves cosmetology.
I let out a small grunt, and then smile. "Fine. Only because you're going away. Not because I like being.. girly." I finish talking to her, being that I'm actually tired. It's eleven o'clock now.
I feel a pang of sadness because I won't be able to see Jake Longhin. He's one of my best friends, but I also have a crush on him. Most of my friends are guys, except for Mckaylee. I'd rather be playing sports than worrying about my hair, or stupid things like that.
I doze off, to be awaken by the annoying flight attendant's voice. "Goood morning folks, you have successfully arrived at Orlando. When we arrive to a complete stop, you may grab any small carry on's and leave the plane to your hotel's designated bus. Have a wonderful stay! Thank you for choosing Jet Blue American Airlines." She says too perkily for this hour of the morning.
We embrace the ground and slowly stop. We're connected to the Orlando airport. It's like one huge mall. My mom promises when we leave we can shop.
After a head count, and pairing off into buddies, we're making our way to pick up the baggage. I'm paired with Chelsea and she doesn't stop going on about all the cute boy possibilities in florida.
They call our hotel, the Pop Century Resort. I'm afraid out bags won't show up, but thankfully they begin to roll towards us.
The grand pop century bus is awaiting us. It's seated by two, so Evelyn saves me a seat. The red plush seats are so comfterable. Not to mention, each seat has its own television.
Shawn sits by himself, because mom sits with Jordan. Ha.
Some family comes on the bus next. The dad sits next to Shawn and they instantly hit it off. How weird. Who I'm assuming to be the son is really eager to sit down. He's deff a techie.
He sits across from Jordan and starts showing him all of his cool gadgety stuff. Their mom smiles at my mom, and sits behind her. She begins talking about yoga, and has my moms attention.
Why are they so friendly?
