Day 5

Dear Journal,

I wake with a start when I find my roommate, Gabriella, shaking me up like its 8:20 and we have only ten minutes to breakfast. I must have slept too soundly after so long. I am too late for breakfast but thankfully show up in the LGM room on time, after hurrying along – brushing my teeth, combing hair and putting my clothes on like a shuttle bus. (According to our rules: being 5 minutes early is being on time, being on time is being late and being 5 minutes late is unacceptable; if that could make any sense).

Then we discuss and discuss and discuss like it could never end and finally head for memorials. Memorial; sounds boring but is much better than rigidly posturing for long hours of seminars as we get to board buses and ride with music on.

My friends and I hang out in the pentagon city mall, shop, take a few shots and bid our goodbyes after returning to the hotel for individual LGMs.

When at last Ms Joyce dismisses us from the torture room, I can't hold it any longer. My eyelids are literally falling while I'm walking. Never been this sleepy and breakfast as early as 7:15 tomorrow, can't even think of it.

Love Always

Huda
