Day 1: The day I first saw her #2
She stood there with an authoritative look. " Isn't anybody gonna say anything?" She said in a board tone. She's right, why isn't anyone saying anything? All there doing is staring at her like she did some type of impressive stunt. Mr Anderson In a disappointed tone said " welcome back miss summers" Why does he look worried, who is this girl?
"Ok everyone, time to pick a lab partner" Mr Anderson said snapping everyone from their trans state of looking at the girl. I really don't understand when Mr Anderson says "choose a partner" because we always have to ask for his approval for the person we've picked.
Nobody picks a partner without Mister Anderson telling you if you can be partners with that person or not, so you can understand my surprise when she told Mr Anderson " he's my partner", pointing at me. Mr Anderson didn't even protest to her decision, weird coz he protests to everyone's decisions.
She walked over to the seat on my left and sat down. She began to look at me, examining my face and in a soft tone she said " are we going to start?" " Yes, yeah, yes of course" I said really fast.
Without saying a word to each other the either time we began to dissect the frog. We didn't even know each others names but we worked so well together.
After a while we finished our assignment, before she walked away I just shouted out " I kicked a bunch of animals!" " What ?" She said I a surprised tone. " My name is Daniel" upon saying this she glared at me and then gave me a slight grin and said " I didn't ask".
The period was over, so she stood up and left. "That was awkward" I said taking a huge breathe in and then out.
On my way to my Mathematics class the two most notorious boys in school were skateboarding in the hallways. They were doing all sorts of tricks, I have to say it looked pretty cool. I'm not sure why these guys haven't been expelled yet or at least suspended. last week they strapped a 9th grader to a bike which was hooked up to a bunch of rocket fireworks. Of course it didn't even blast off, the fireworks simply blew and the kid fellow his side with the bike.
I got into the class and to my surprise the first person I saw was the girl from bio class Summers. She was in the back of the class, I sat in the front. She didn't see me because she was concentrating on her book. Most Goths I've seen don't really care about things like school, but what do I know about Goths?
Ms Bridges our math teacher walked in and said in a care free tone " how is everyone today"? "Fine Ms Bridges, how are you?" I replied. I was the only one who said a thing, no one acknowledged that the teacher walked in.
Ms Bridges called five students to the board where she had written complex equations for us to solve. She called up myself, Lisa Perri, Anna Morgan,Lucas Markoff and the girl ' summers', I still don't know her first name.
Ms Bridges told each of us to solve our math problems in 9 minutes. " Begin "! She yelled in an excited voice. So we began to solve, in what felt like 8 seconds Summers finished solving her problem. It was very impressive seeing someone finish solving a complex equation before me. I finished solving mine about a minute after her, the others finished in 7-8 minutes. Summers and I got the equations we solved correct, Anna Morgan, Lisa Perri and Lucas Markoff got there's wrong. It's not really surprising because I was the only one serious about math class.
The girl Summers came and sat behind me on an empty seat, she then whispered in my ear " good job Dan". "Wait how did she, oh yeah I told her in bio class" I thought to myself. " You too did excellent" I said smiling.
She was about to leave when I stopped her by holding her wrist and said " wait, I've been meaning to ask you for your name". " Huh I was wondering when you would Daniel, my name is.......
