Eve
I sat, bored in my best friends room. I had texted her a half an hour ago, asking if we could hang out. She said she would be home in an hour, and that I should just go inside.
I stood up and stomped down the hallway. I wasn't angry or anything, but I was wearing wedges. I stood in the pantry, trying to decide what I should eat. I finally decided on the goldfish. I was a kindergartener at heart. I yanked open the bag, spilling the snack everywhere. I laughed. Such a klutz. Suddenly, I heart a ping. I dropped the bag and cautiously stepped out of the pantry. Another ping. A good sized rock suddenly hit the window, shattering it. I gasped. I ran the shattered window, peering out. A kid standing by a pile of rocks prepared to throw another one, obviously trying to break in. I'm so stupid! I should've turned on some lights. He obviously thought the house was empty. I pushed the back door open, running out.
"Hey!" I shouted, catching his attention. He panicked, looking over to me. "What are you doing?" As soon as I said it, I felt stupid. He was trying to break into the house, duh. He changed the angle of his arm and chucked the rock at me, sprinting away. In slow motion, I watched the rock hurtle towards me. He glanced back and the rock smashed into my temple. My eyesight went fuzzy and black crept in from the edges. The last thing I saw was his horrified expression, and then I crumpled to the ground.

Hello my wonderful undies! So this is my new book, The Fosters! What do you think? Do you like Eve? What do you think of the boy? Should he be incorporated into the story? Because I was thinking...never mind! No spoilers! Stay tuned for the next chapter, which will hopefully be posted either tomorrow or the day after.
