Chapter 8 The Second Date

*Bell Rings* 

"Okay, class, that wraps up the lesson for today. Make sure to turn in your essays by Tuesday or it will be a zero. Have a nice day everyone!" The teacher said as I was gathering my things and getting up from my chair. As I am walking out of the classroom I feel a pair of arms wrap around me, I know exactly who this is. "Oh hey Ryland". I said as I turned around. "Hey Jae. Do you want to go out tonight?" 

I stare at him with confusion. What does he mean go out? I think to myself. I don't get it. 

"What do you mean?" "I mean go out to eat somewhere just you and me. I know this place that is just walking distance from here and we can walk there. I know how much you enjoy taking walks, so this would be great."

I thought to myself.. Why not? This will be fun and maybe he will do that thing where he presses his lips against mine again. What did Celeste say that was called? Oh right kissing. I hope he does that again. His lips were just so soft...-

"Jae, so is that a yes?" Ryland said snapping me out of my thoughts. I nodded yes and he said, "Great, pick you up at seven." "Okay, bye." We hugged and he left to go back to his room. I started walking my way to my dorm room as something catches my eye. It was Layla doing that weird thing again with the smoke in the corner. I just turned my head and started walking back to my room once again. As I was walking, I stumbled over a rock and fell right on my face. Wow, I'm clumsy. I continue walking to the door of the dorm room and take out my keys to unlock the door. I walk into the room and lay my things down. 

"Soooo, I saw you talking to that cute boy you like or should I say that you are in love with," Celeste said as I was laying my things down on the table.

"Okay, and...?" 

"Tell me what happened!!!! I wanna know!" 

"He just asked me if I wanted to go to this restaurant with him tonight." 

"And what did you say?" 

"I said, yeah. He is coming to pick me up in 2 hours so I need to get ready. What should I wear?" 

"I will grab you something." 

"Thanks, I'm gonna go shower."

I went to the bathroom and turned on the shower. As I scrubbed my body I slipped in the bathtub and banged my head against the wall. Great, I love my life. I quickly got up. 

1 hour and 5 slippery falls later I was finally done with the shower. I grabbed a towel and wrapped it around my body. I brushed my hair out and blow dried it. I put my hair up in a ponytail and walked into my room. I saw the outfit Celeste chose out for me laying on the bed. I quickly got dressed and checked myself out in the mirror. It was a black skin tight dress which hugged all my curves perfectly. I put on some high tops and took down my long wavy blond hair. I grabbed a handbag and placed my phone in it. I walked out of my room as I saw Layla turn her head and say, 

"Wow, where you going looking all fancy and shit?" 

"I'm going out with Ryland." 

"Who?" 

"My friend." 

Celeste walked in and said, "Wow you look great!"

"Since when do you have friends?", Layla asked. 

"Leave her alone", Celeste responded. 

I hear a knock on the door so I walked over and opened it. It was Ryland and he was wearing jeans and a T-shirt. 

"Gotta go, bye." I said waving my hand. Layla got up and said, "Oooooooooh, cute guy." 

"Ignore her Ryland, come on lets go."
