***Chandler's POV***
"Wait Chandler, how about you put on some real pants and I take you out to lunch?" I stopped at the door and turned to face him in disbelief of the words he just spoke. I kept my excitement covered.
"You weren't complaining about my pants twenty seconds ago?" He laughed.
"C'mon I'm serious. I don't throw out offers like this very much, so you should probably accept." He took off his hat and smiled at me.
"Well I'm honored, but I have another practice at two so I should probably stay." He put his hat back on and opened the locker room door for me.
"Go get dressed, we are going. I will get you back with plenty of time to spare." I didn't go through the doors, I just looked at him. He pointed to his phone screen that read 12:08. "Now you're the one wasting time, c'mon Chandler."
I couldn't help but smile as I entered the locker room. I made sure he shut the door and wasn't looking as I changed. I threw on my Lulu Lemon running shorts; they were nice and light and I never practiced in them. I grabbed my backpack and stick and was about to head out the door.
'What the hell am I doing?' I thought to myself. 'This kid almost fought my brother yesterday, and just grabbed my ass.' The thoughts fled my mind once I saw Niall's smile as I walked out. He grabbed my stick and my bag and led me to his big black car and threw them in the backseat.
"We will stay close, so you can be back on time." I grinned at the kind gesture. He turned on a CD and rap music poured through the speaker. I think it was Odd Future and I giggled at his choice. He turned it down. "What Earl Sweatshirt is great!" I laughed harder.
"And a little depressing.. And gross.. And you're white as hell." He agreed laughing but continued to listen. It was comical to watch him rap along to some of the verses. We pulled up to a Northstar café.
He opened the door for me at the restaurant. An oddly polite gesture for someone who grabbed my ass within five minutes of introducing himself. He paid for my turkey club and we sat at a small table outside.
We finished eating quickly with bits of chatter, but I finally decided I should know some more about him. "Can I ask you something?" I finally spoke up.
"Yes, and I might answer." He smiled at his sarcastic reply.
"Why do my brothers hate you?" He cleared his throat and smirked a little.
"It's not their fault. It's in their nature." I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. And was about to ask another question when Niall interrupted me.
He stood up as someone walked over. "Styles!" A boy slightly taller than Niall, with curly brown hair approached our table.
"Niall!" They said hello and then he turned to me. "And who's the lucky lady?" I looked down awkwardly before meeting his green eyes.
"Hi I'm Chandler." He flashed a beaming half-grin.
"I'm Harry. Nice to meet you." His voice was low and deep. He directed his gaze to Niall. "You said you were leaving to get supplies for the party tonight, you never mentioned being with a girl." He smirked and Niall looked down. "Can't wait to tell the frat this one.. It's been a while since you have even talked to a girl sober." Niall glared at Harry.
"Yeah maybe we shouldn't tell the frat about this one. This is Dylan and Nick's little sister, and this isn't a date. Just two friends having lunch." Harry chuckled, a deep laugh. And then cleared his throat. I sat there and played with my hair in fingers unsure of how to react.
"Oh that's rich. Dylan and Nick would kick your ass if they found out." He paused and examined me up and down. "Oh let me guess, she's one of them as well." Niall didn't answer and Harry erupted in laughter. I didn't know how to respond but I felt humiliated. "Oh this is not going to roll over smoothly."
