Coincidentally, I have most of my bells with her, so I had a friend during class.  It had only been three weeks of school, and we had already grown very very close. I still hadn't told her at all about my home life, I don't want to drive her away. She seems suspicious of something, though I tell her that it's probably just nothing. I got her phone number, so we text all the time, but I feel like we talk better in person. Days have been going by so fast, that I hardly even remember what happened last week. Chloe told me a lot about her family, but her life is really generic. Moved here because her dad was in the army, middle-class family, and her mom having to take care of her by herself because her dad is always out in the army doing army stuff. I always act interested when she talks, even if it is the most boring, humdrum story. The reason I still listen to it because I don't want her to leave. The bullying hasn't stopped, but it's okay because I get to see Chloe. I don't ever let her see me cry because she would call me a wuss, so I suck it up and say it doesn't affect me. It's not like she knows that I'm being bullied though because whenever I see a jock approach me when I'm with her, I convince her to walk the other direction. The school dance was next week and I told Chloe that I wasn't gonna go, I could see that she was kind of disappointed. I decided that I was going to ask Chloe out on that day so that I wouldn't have to be with all of those people, but we could still have a fun night out. I walked up to her after school and said, "Hey, Chloe! Would you like to h-have dinner with me next Friday?" She could tell that I was nervous, so she put her hand on my shoulder which didn't really help. "Yeah sure! What time?" "7 o'clock. I figured that if I didn't go to the school dance, I'd have a cool night with you." I said. "Oh, so this is a date situation?" she said, smirking. "Yeah, I-I guess, haha. You don't have to dress fancy, but dress nice." I said. "Okay, it's a date then!" She then walked away smiling, and I was as happy as could be.
