Elie stood in awe at the sight set before him. Never in his life did he dream of laying eyes on what could only be described as paradise. "And to think I get to go to school here," he thought. The school itself was bigger than most resorts. It was a very neat white. There were hundreds, no thousands of windows, and the best part, the school was set on an island which meant 360 degrees of a glorious ocean view. Elie's trance was broken when his tour guide stepped off of the boat and began to speak at a rapid pace. "If you will all follow me, I will show you to your rooms," she said. The guide began to walk at a brisk pace and Elie found himself unable to stall without getting left behind. Elie, along with the students, let out a loud gasp when they reached the student doorms. They were gorgeous. Roughly 3,000 square feet of polished marble floors sparkled back at them. The pillars were hand-carved with the most extravagant of decorations and the couches in the lobby looked so soft that it made Elie want to take a nap. "Alright, gather round so I can give each of you your room key," announced the guide. Elie lovingly examined his new room key. Even the key cards at this place were beautiful. A shimmering white with a swirling image of a mermaid sunbathing on an island. The key reminded him of why he was actually here. You see, Rosewater High was a school for the elite. However, there were exceptions and Elie was one of those exceptions. "I trust that all of you can find your rooms on your own. When you've finished unpacking you have the rest of the day to relax. Classes start tomorrow," said the guide. Before Elie could celebrate his luck, the guide added in, "except those of you who are pearls (people in the special class). You will report to your primary class the moment you are finished unpacking." "Dang," Elie thought. He was hoping to check out the beach. "Well, might as well go see my room," he thought.

Amazing was an understatement. Elie couldn't believe his eyes when he opened the door to his room. The ceiling was made of glass and on the other side was the ocean. A window was placed behind his bed and it looked like he could open it and walk right out into the ocean. Upon further inspection, Elie realized that there was indeed a handle. The wooden floors shone with polish and there were small cabinets that lined the wall. "This is going to be a great year," Elie thought.
