Zonnique's POV.
Bahja still remained without an answer. Soon enough, she started crying. I huffed and knelt down in front of her. I slowly wrapped my arms around her. She cried into my shoulder, and I rubbed her back slowly, trying my best to console her. "I'm so sorry Zonnique. I should've listened. I should've known." She whispered. "No I'm sorry. I should have been more supportive." I sighed. She pulled her head out of my shoulder and took a deep breath. I lifted my thumb, and wiped right below her eyes, where a few of her tears were sitting. "It's gonna be okay, Bahja." I smiled at her. She smiled back. The elevator doors opened, and I stood up. I hugged her one last time, basically saying goodbye for now.
I stepped off the elevator and clutching my black clutch. "Why did I come down here again?" I question myself. I come face to chest with a tall man. I step back a little and look up. Kaleb. I rolled my eyes and blew some hair out of my face. "Shouldn't you be with Bahja?" I asked him, trying to hold in everything negative I had to say about him. He licked his lips, causing me to furrow my eyebrows. "Damn." He looked at my body. I know he's not checking me out. "Move." I walked pass him, bumping shoulders with him. "Hold on." He grabbed my arm. I turned around and hit him with my clutch. "Get off of me!" I shot him a disgusted look. He devilishly grinned "You're mine now shawty." He smirked. He picked me up off of the ground, causing me to shriek. "LET GO OF ME! PUT ME DOWN!!" I clawed at him with my nails, but he didn't budge. He carried me into a nearby bathroom and laid me down on the cold hard floor. I tried to get up, but he held me down. And as soon as he unbuckled his pants, I knew what was about to happen.
Bahja's POV.
After using the bathroom, I held the wheels of the wheelchair and rolled myself back to the hospital room. When I got to the waiting room, there sat Chresanto on his phone. He noticed me and looked at me. More like stared. I couldn't tell what kind of emotion was running through his mind. It looked blank. I cleared my throat, throwing him out of his daze. "Sorry." He half-smiled. I nodded letting him know it was okay. "So um.." He fidgeted with his fingers. "You never called me last night." I knotted my eyebrows. I couldn't tell of he was still focused on getting with me or not. "Aren't you dating Zonnique?" I asked him. "I guess so." He shrugged. What does he mean 'I guess so'? He either does or he doesn't. I avoided saying anything rude and just said "Oh.. okay." I half-smiled. "But that still doesn't answer my question." "I've been dealing with a lot lately, and I haven't had time to do much. I'm going through a lot right now." I looked down at my feet. "Right, I forgot. You're abusive boyfriend." He mumbled. "Excuse me?" I looked at him. "Zonnique told me." I balled up my fists
and let out a deep sigh. "Bahja, you need to get away from him. You don't deserve to be in an abusive relationship. You deserve someone much better." He explained. "You don't even know me!" I ranted. "I'm just saying." He pulled out his phone and started texting. I rolled my eyes and rolled back into my hospital room. Who is he to tell me what I do and don't deserve?
I stood in front of the counter, cutting up peppers and onions. Kaleb wanted a big dinner, so yeah. Out of no where, there door burst open, in running Chresanto. "Nigga who the hell are you?" Kaleb scrunched up his face. Chresanto stepped up to him and punched him dead in the nose. I dropped what was in my hands and pushed him away. "What the hell are you doing!?" I yelled at Chresanto. "Giving him the beating he deserves!" He growled. I groaned. "I thought I told you not to worry about me." I mumbled, balling up my fists. "Not for you!! He raped Zonnique, and now she's pregnant!" He shouted over my shoulder, trying to get at Kaleb. I looked over at Kaleb. "You raped my best friend?" I asked him quietly. "I ain't know that was to friend! I thought she was some random bitch!" Kaleb calling her a 'bitch' set Chresanto off. He tried his best to get at him, but I held him back. "Calm the fuck down, Chresanto! I'll handle him. Just go..." I sighed. "Aight." He ran his hand over his face. "Just control your nigga." He gritted his teeth. He shot Kaleb a death glare right before leaving the house, slamming the door behind him.
