Bahja's POV.
"So, is it true doc? Am I pregnant?" I asked him as I wiped the blue gel off my stomach with a napkin. "Well," He took a glance at the ultrasound. "It seems there is definitely a child growing inside of you." He nodded. I closed my eyes and let out a deep sigh. "How far along am I?" I scrunched up my eyebrows. "One week." He smiled, and took of his rubber gloves. I looked over at Zonnique who was sitting across the room with the biggest smile on her face. I slightly smiled back and looked away. "Thanks Doctor." I smiled, and pulled my shirt down, hopping of the stretcher. "Your welcome Ms. Rodriguez. Take care." He said as I walked out of the room. As Zonnique and I left the hospital, I placed my hand on my stomach with a frown. "You're not still upset are you?" Nique sighed. "A little. I mean, I would love to have a child. Just not now, and not by...Kaleb." I ran my hand over my face. "I know how you feel, Bahj." She placed her hand on my shoulder. "But all you can do is be happy." She smiled. "I can't!" I huffed. "I still have to tell Chresanto that I'm pregnant. What is he going to think?" I looked at her. "As long as you tell him you were forced into having sex with Kaleb, you'll be fine. I'm sure he'll understand." She explained. "But that's the thing," I started as we approached my car. "I don't want Chres to know about Kaleb abusing me again. He'll go crazy. I know it." I pushed my bangs out of my face. "So you're not going to tell him?" She raised her eyebrow and got in the passenger's seat. "..I guess not." I sighed.
I pulled into the Drive-Thru for Wendy's, and sighed looking out the window. Suddenly my phone vibrated in my lap. I looked down, noticing that Chresanto was calling me. I took a deep breath, then answered. "Hey baby.." I smiled. "Hey." He said, not so excitedly. "What's the matter?" I furrowed my eyebrows. "I just miss you." He huffed. "I miss you too." I sighed as well. "Hey, why didn't you call me back?" He asked me. I bit my lip nervously, and looked over at Zonnique. She raised her eyebrows, then looked away. I guess she could hear our conversation. "Sorry honey, I forgot." I ran my tongue over my bottom lip. "Oh. It's okay...I love you." He said to me. "I love you more." I grinned. "Chresanto come meet your uncles!!" Someone shouted in the background. "Here I come! ... I gotta go Bahja. Call me back later alright? Don't forget." He chuckled. "I won't." I smiled. "Only 3 more weeks." He said in his deep voice. I giggled. "Freak." "I know you want it." He sang, like Robin Thicke. I playfully rolled my eyes and looked out the window. "Bye Chresanto." "Bye." He chuckled. I hit the End button, as I pressed my foot down on the gas, moving a spot up. "So...?" Nique looked at me with her raised eyebrows. "What?" I scrunched up my lips. She huffed. "You didn't tell him did you?" She asked flatly. "Well," I sighed. "I couldn't!" I put my head in my hands. "You're going to have to tell him at one point. And I'd hate to see how he reacts if he has to find out after the fact." She explained.
I bit the inside of my cheek, nervously. "Yeah, I guess you're right."
"Damn. He got you pregnant?" Bre asked me. "Yes..." I sighed. "Awe. I'm sorry Bahja." She placed her hand on my shoulder. I smiled at her consideration. "Well. I still think you need to tell Chresanto." Zonnique took a sip of her Sprite. "What?" Bre's head shot up. "No, you can't do that!" Bre exclaimed. "Why? Because you know Chres will whoop Kalebs' no good ass? And give him the beating he deserves?" Zonnique mumbled. Bre & I quickly looked at her. I can't believe she said that.. "I can't believe you said that." Bre rolled her eyes. Exactly what I was thinking. "I'm just saying..you lied-" "Guys! Don't." I warned them. Bre huffed and crossed her arms as Zonnique smirked and looked away. "Anyway-" I was interrupted by a loud knock on the front door. "I'll get it." I hopped out of the barstool I was in. I walked over to the front door, and opened it without asking who it was. My smiled faded when I saw who it was. And it was the same for the person standing on the other side of the door. "Um..TT Tiny?" I nervously chuckled. "What are you doing here?" She gritted her teeth together. "I'm here with Zonnique and Bre." I slightly smiled. "Well, this is my house, and I want you out." She said, pushing her way into the house. "Mom!" Zonnique jumped up. "You're back!" She grinned. "Yeah. Hey honey. What is she doing here?" She slit her eyes at me. I frowned and shut the door before walking over to them. "Mom, we've forgiven Bahja. Everything was a miss understanding." She explained. "Oh, sure." TT Tiny sat her purse on the counter. "The fact that she slept with your boyfriend while you were pregnant is a miss understanding." She said sarcastically. "Hey Bre." She waved at her. "Hey." Bre smiled at her. "Well you're going to have to get over it. Because I did, and we're still best friends." She said sternly.
"I'm afraid that's not going to happen." TT Tiny shook her head. "I want her out." She placed her hands on her hips, and glared at me. "TT please.." I begged her. "I don't want to hear it, Bahja! I said get out!" She pointed towards the front door. "But-" Before I could finish my sentence, a slap sent me stumbling. I touched the side of my face and looked up at her with tears in my eyes. "Momma!" Zonnique shouted. "Quiet Zonnique!" She demanded, before turning back to me. "Now, I said get out." She said to me. I sniffled, and looked over at Zonnique, who was starting to cry as well. I sniffled, and gathered up my things, and stormed towards the door.
I can't believe I just got slapped by my aunt...
"Bre, can't you just meet me at my house?" I pushed a piece of hair behind my ear. "I can't. I'm on house lock." She sighed over the phone. "What? But you live with Kaleb." I chuckled. "Exactly." She said to me. I rolled my eyes, thinking about how Kaleb used to do that to me. I couldn't go anywhere. I hated it. I moved out of my moms' house, just to get back under a roof of rules and shit. "Kaleb isn't there is he?" I asked her. "Nope." She popped the p. "Aight. I'll be over there in a few." I nodded. "Okay. And hurry. I really have to tell you something." She said anxiously. "Okay, okay." I smiled. And then she hung up. I lifted up in bed and rubbed my eyes. What could she have to possibly tell me at 4 in the morning. I went around the house gathering my things together to go. Finally, I snatched my keys of the hook in the kitchen, and jogged outside. I climbed into my car, and drove the 12 minutes to Kalebs' house. When I got there, I sighed and got out the car. I knocked on the front door, rubbing my eyes. "Hey Bre." I yawned. "Hey." She shot me a nervous smile. "Come on in." She moved aside. I smiled, and walked in. I looked around, and the whole house was dark. "What's going on Breaunna?" I turned around. She wasn't there. "Bre?" I looked around. A rough hand grabbed me by my neck, and slammed me on the floor. I struggled to get free from the grip as I squirmed around. The person let go of my neck and I immediately began coughing. The lights flew on, and it all started making sense. Kaleb. And Bre was right beside him, tears streaming down her face. There was only one explanation. Bre set me up.
"B-Breau-" "I'm sorry Bahja. He made me." She sniffled. Kaleb charged at me, with his fist. He struck me in my stomach, and I groaned. "So you think you can go around telling people this is my baby?" He grunted. "But I didn't s-" Another punch in the stomach caused me to grunt. "Shut up!" He demanded. "I'm about fed up with your ass! So I'm going to put an end to it. Once and for all." He smirked. He stood up and walked over to a small dresser by the TV. He opened up the top drawer, and pulled out something that shocked both Bre & I. I covered my mouth, and tears started to form in my eyes. A pistol. "What are y-you doing with that?" I quickly started to crawled backwards. "Don't worry baby. It'll be quick and painless." He smiled. "KALEB, NO!!" Bre shouted. "You, be quiet!" He shouted back. As he pointed the gun at me, I looked around for ways to try to fight back. I looked back at Kaleb as he shut one eye, and put his finger on the trigger. I quickly lifted my foot, and kicked him in the nuts. He immediately dropped the pistol in his hand and winced, holding his nuts. He rolled around on the floor in pain. I lifted up quickly, and snatched the gun off of the ground. I pointed it at him, and pulled the trigger, shooting him with no thought. He stopped squirming, and laid there. I sniffled, and wiped my eyes, looking down at his body. I crawled over to him and laid my head on his chest. He wasn't breathing. I dropped the gun and looked up at Bre with tears in my eyes.
"OH MY FUCKING GOD! BAHJA WHAT DID YOU DO!?" She covered her mouth. I had to. I couldn't let him hurt my baby..
