"What are you talking about?" I asked glaring at the hooded figure behind J. She jumped back and bumped into Brine when the figure had appeared. Brine pushed her off of him and glaired at the man again.
The figure stayed silent and Selene growled. "Who the Nether are you?" She asked her ears flattening against her head and her tail bristling.
The figure said nothing as we kept asking questions. J had said nothing for a while. She finally piped up after Entity tried attacking. "Why are we here?"
The hooded figure looked in her direction and started talking. "Welcome new comers, to the death trials!" He declaired, causing everyone to stop talking and look in our direction. "You will all be put through a series of events that will determine weather you move on to the next....or you get eliminated."
Sky tilted his head slightly. "What happens if we're eliminated?"
"You die." He said simply. Most of the crowd gasped, but about eight of us in the group stayed silent.
"How?" Brine asked. "I know for a fact that at least five of us in this group are immortal.
"Are you now? Last I checked, the only immortals here were myself and my superior."
Entity growled and stood next to Brine. "Well check again. He's right five of us are immortal." J, Sky, and I nodded in agreement. The others just watched curiously.
Lightning struck down by the first hooded figure and another, this one in a black cloak, stood next to him. "7, is there a problem here?"
7 looked to his right at the other man and shook his head. "None at all Alpha."
Alpha growled. "Then why aren't they in teams yet? I don't remember studdering when I gave you the order."
"Yes sir, erm....they were just....ummm...."
"Asking to many questions?" 7 nodded. He sighed and glaired at 7 who bowed and teleported away. "Listen up and listen well because I'm only saying this once! There will be five teams. Each team will have two leaders! Pairings for leaders have been decided already. Team pairings will be decided based on the first challenge!"
"First off....who the Nether are you? And why are we doing this?" I asked crossing my arms.
"So you won't be killed. Now, teams will be allowed to chose on color and name for their team. That will allow you to know who is your ally, and who the enemy is. Do I make myself clear?"
"Crystal." I growled desiding not to ask anymore questions.
"Who are the team leaders?"
Alpha looked around and pointed to me, then to Entity. "Team one, Skylar and Entity 303. Team two, Selene and Skydoesminecraft. Team three, Ender and Deadlox. Team four, Teresa and Seto sorcerer. And finally, Team five will be Ja-"
"Don't. You. Dare." J growled taking a step forword. Teresa held her back from attacking Alpha.
"Easy J."
Alpha seemed unphased by J and continued correcting himself. "Team five will be J and Herobrine. You ten will wait at the finish. I will explain there how you will chose your teams." He snapped his fingers and we were brought to a completely different place.
"Well....this is just.....lovely." I muttered.
Ender looked around a bit before sitting by the fire pit in the middle of the clearing. Ty sat next to her and started talking. She just nodded. "What do you think they're doing?" Sky asked walking up to me.
I shrugged. "Probably a test of skill or something."
"Well, you're not wrong Skylar." I jumped as Alpha teleported behind me. "My appolagies, now, you ten will chose out of the first five who will be the first members of your team. It will go in order from team one, to team five. After the first five, you will chose the next five and so on. Understood? Good. Now I will be spectating the er.....games. good luck on your teams." And he was gone. So we waited.
Entity walked over to me as the first three people crossed the finish line. "Come on kid. Time to pick our team." I nodded and walked over to the three who had made it across. They had cuts and burns on them, but otherwise they were fine.
"Who first?" I asked looking at each one in turn.
"Who crossed first?" Entity asked. The middle one raised his hand. He had few cuts and scrapes on him, and had a sword on his hip. "Name?"
"Tenebris sir."
Entity looked over to me and I shrugged. "Welcome to the team then Tenebris." The player smiled and nodded following us to the fire. Two more people had shown up so Entity and I walked over to them, waiting for more to join.
"Welcome to the team Maleficus!" J said shaking someone's hand. He was fourth to cross, so I guess the other teams overlooked him. He just nodded and stood behind Herobrine.
By the time the sun had set, we had our teams sorted out. Ours were: Tenebris, Umbra, who was a fox hybrid. Pulla, Mitch, and a few others. Our team seemed pretty good compared to the rest of the teams.
"Congratulations to those of you who made it out alive. Only tow people dies this round and have been eliminated!"
"What! Who?" Teresa exclaimed looking around.
Alpha waved a hand parting his cloak and revealing a small brown section of his shirt. "Some fish and a kid who was eating a potato. Anyway, you have your teams now. Now the next part of the challenge....getting to your base."
"WHAT!" Entity growled.
Alpha laughed. "I'm kidding. I'll teleport you there don't worry." He snapped his fingers and once again, we were taken somewhere. This time, with my team.
I looked up at our base, it was in a tree? Why a tree? "How are we suppose to get up there?" Tenebris complained.
"Simple. We climb the latter." I said pointing to a latter by the tree. They nodded and walked to the latter. I spread my wings and flew myself up there, Entity right behind me. "You can fly?" He nodded when we landed.
"Yah, so can you." I rolled my eyes and waited for the rest of the team to join us.
The games had begun.
