The Truth Behind It All...

Chapter 7 ~ Entity

I walked proudly back to our base, the team I had brought with me following close behind. The kid had asked what I had been doing. I simply said, "I was giving my congratulations to the winning team." She shook her head and walked off. I don't care. I really don't. If I had my way, I'd be out of here, back home. Alone. But I don't get my way here. I have to play by someone else's rules. Or I get killed. And I have no intention of being killed. Not yet.

Trial day

I stood and jumped down from the tree. The kid was sleeping still so I grabbed a few of the team members and got them ready. By the time she got up, we were ready to go. She didn't say a word to me the whole way to the starting area.
I didn't care, so I kept walking in silence. Four of the teams were already there. They were waiting on us I guess.

"Why is one team always late?" Alpha asked.

No one replyed for a while. "Probably because they don't want to run the risk of dieing?" Sky piped up. he almost hissed at Alpha, but by the glair he gave him, no one supported his theory.

"Right, well today's trial will be simple."

"If it's anything like the last trial, simple means half of us are gonna die." Seto muttered.

Alpha glaired at him and continued. "Today you're gonna have a little break. Only two of you have to complete this. So who volunteers?"

We all stayed silent. He clearly ment two per team, but no one wanted to go to their possible death....until I was proven wrong. "I volunteer as tribute." J said stepping forword.

"What the Nether do you think you're doing?" Brine hissed.

"What does it look like?" She snapped back. He just backed off and looked away.

"I'll go to!" Teresa said.

"So will I!" Seto declaired.

"I'll do it!" Selene stated.

"I volunteer!" One of our members shouted.

"I'm going!" The sorcerer on J and Brine's team said.

"Ooo! I'm going!" A hybrid from Teresa's team shouted.

Seto and Selene's teams also finished chosing. Skylar was about to volunteer, but I cut ahead. "I'm going." I growled.

Alpha nodded and the kid just stared at me. I srugged and walked forword. "Very well, those who volunteered, you will be tested."

"On?" Seto asked.

Alpha smiled. "Why, I'll be testing your speed, knowledge, and trust. the rest of your team mates who came will be watching." We nodded and the others walked away, leaving us alone with Alpha. "Right. Speed first. You will run from here, to the end of the track. Ready. Set. Go!"

We ran, and ran until we almost passed out. The leaders managed to tie, but my team won this round. Placed second by J, third by Seto. Fourth was Teresa, and fifth was Selene. We were gasping for air when Alpha walked over. "Great! Next is knowledge. I will ask you each one question, and you will have 20 seconds to answer. Entity, who is the god of Minecraft?"

"Notch." I heaved after a few moments. Alpha nodded.

"J, who is the bringer of darkness?"

"Herobrine." She said almost immediately, reciving a nod.

He asked more and more questions until everyone answered. J won that round. Though...I'm not sure how she could've known that...

"Lovely! Right, trust. How we do this one is simple. You tell someone your biggest secret, and you have to trust them to not tell anyone, me included."

I turned to my team mate and told them my secret. No. I'm not telling you, or else it wouldn't be a secret would it reader? He nodded and told me his. I rolled my eyes and looked up to Alpha.

"Now, tell me exactly what they said." Three of the people spilt, but they only told Alpha. Causing their team to lose. Me, Seto and Selene's team were still in thankfully. Alpha frowned. "Well, I suppose we have three winners today. But allow me to warn you this. All of you. The next trial, won't be as simple. It will require teamwork. And the loser of this challenge....." he glaired at J's team, the sorcerer who still looked dazed for some reason, had spilt. "Will pay dearly for it in the next trial. Now, get out of my sight."

And with that. We left for our base. We walked in silence the whole way and didn't speak a word all night.

I'm sorry for not updating in a while......I just haven't really been motivated to write. I know it's only been like a week, but I usually have something up by Wednesday at least. So yah.....that's why I haven't been writing. I've had no reason to I guess.....I've been mostly talking to friends on here and no writing. But Queen-Ender asked me to update, so I told her I would this weekend, and here you go, the next chapter in the book. I don't know how long it will be till the next chapter, but I will tell you I'm not gonna stop writing completely. I'm just waiting for insaration I guess.
