I layed in bed and stared at the ceiling. All three who came with us died. All three of them. Brine and I made it with minor injuries. But they didn't. I don't even care that we lost. I watched two of them die and I did nothing to help. I didn't even try. I sighed and stood up. "Two days of no trials." I muttered. I walked out of my room right past Brine who hasn't spoken to anyone since yesterday. I don't blame him, but that leaves me to all the questions.

"Where are you off to today J?" Maleficus asked as I walked by.

"Exploring the base." I lied. Our base was in the Nether for some reason. But hey, I'm not one to complain. I'm home, so I don't mind.

"Didn't you say you lived in a Nether fortress before you came here? Why would you need to explore it?" He asked following me.

I looked over to him and frowned. "I said nothing like that. How did you know?"

"Erm.....magic?" He said with a smile. His figures started sparkling. Ahh the perks of being a sorcerer.

"Right. Well keep your magic to yourself. And if you must know. I'm going to the training grounds."

"Why?" He asked with genuine curiosity. "Theirs no need to. We have no trials for the next what, day and a half."

"To clear my mind." I answered turning right. He didn't follow, thankfully. No one was in here. Probably greiving over their friends. I walked over to the rack that held all the weapons. I grabbed a bow and a quiver of arrows. I got in position in front of the training dummy and aimed my bow. I took a deep breath and fired as I exhaled. I heard the door open, but decided to ignore it. I lined up another shot and managed to split the first arrow down the center with the second. I aimed the third arrow a little higher and shot the dummy in the head. It's not your fault...I put my bow on my back and pulled out my knives. I threw one at the dummy and missed. Don't blame yourself. You couldn't have done anything about it... I threw another one and missed again. I growled softly to myself and took another breath. Look at yourself. You've missed twice now. Calm down. I threw my third knife and it met it's mark, right where the dummies heart would be. "If you're going to watch me, at least make yourself known." I growled putting my weapons back and retrieving my knives.

"What's the fun in that?" I turned around and saw Brine standing in the doorway. "Yah know, if you stopped shaking as much you would've been able to hit the target the first time."

"I don't see you trying." I muttered grabbing the arrows out of the dummy. A knife wizzed past my face and landed in the dummies head, just hardly missing my own. I looked over to Brine who had his arm extended. "Show off."

"No, just proving my point." He said grabbing is own weapon.

"Thanks, but I don't need you to tell me what I already know."

He nodded and watched me walk over to another dummy. "Are you going to just watch me, or are you actually going to train?" He shrugged and leaned on the wall. I rolled my eyes and started punching and attacking the training dummy. After a while I started thinking. Alpha seems fimiliar...like....like I should know him. Most of the people here do. The leaders especially. Some of the certain team members also....it's like I've already met them....even Brine, sadly.

"J....J!...J!"

"WHAT!" I shouted turning twords Brine.

He took a step back and put his hands in a defensive position. "I had been calling your name for the past like five minutes...."

I went to shout at him, but ended up shaking my head and walking out. He followed. "What the Nether do you want?" I hissed.

"To talk." He said.

"About?"

"Yesterday."

"What about it?"

"You and I both know that you blame yourself for their deaths."

"So?"

"So, it's not your fault. It could've been from either team." He growled and grabbed my shoulder forcing me to stop and he stepped in front of me. "Stop walking and listen to me!" He hissed. I looked down at the ground, refusing to make eye contact. "J, it's not your fault." He said softly.

"You keep saying that...but it doesn't change anything."

"You're right. It doesn't. But it doesn't have to. You know that deep down you didn't do anything. That it's not- erm....Alphas fault."

I froze and looked up at him. "You were about to call him Notch."

"No....I uhh.....I said....erm...." Brine sighed and leaned on a wall. "Yah, I was. But it's just because he acts just like him.

I stood next to him. "It can't be Notch though. He's probably tormenting you." Brine gave me a funny look and I shook my head. "Nevermind. Anyway, I'm gonna go to my room. You can deal with the other team members tonight." I muttered walking to my room.

"Ok, later Ja-"

"Say it and I slit your throat with a spoon." I hissed turning the corner."

"Right....later J." He called as I walked father from him.

I entered my room and shut my door. It wasn't late in the day, but I was tired. So I layed down and closed my eyes. He's wrong, it is my fault. I could've done something, but I didn't.
