But they're way more than that.
A dog is a gift to a broken down girl.
A dog is a set of eyes to an old blind man.
A dog is hope for the solider with the pain of the war.
A dog is love for a single mother's children who don't understand.
A dog is a second chance for a widowed father to look out the window again.
A dog is a way for an old woman to sit out on her porch after her husband is gone.
A dog is a laugh to those forget what it's like to talk with another person.
A dog is a dog.
A dog can not be replaced.
A dog cannot be chased away from those who need love most.
A dog will give its life to save someone from drowing.
From a bullet to the brain.
From a broken heart beyond repair.
A dog is more than a beast.
Hell, dog is a man's best friend.
A widow's best friend.
A depressed teenaged girl's best friend.
A single mother's best friend.
A lonely father's best friend.
But most importantly...
A dog is my bestfriend.
