Boss [Tronnor AU]

Friday came quickly, much to Connor's dismay. He decided against telling Troye about the possibility that the both might lose their jobs.

As he drove to pick Tyler up from the airport, he drummed his fingers on the steering wheel nervously, listening to Oh Wonder and driving through typical LA traffic. Pulling up to the airport he began to feel queasy, thinking of the possibility of losing both his job and his boyfriend all in the same day. He had to protect Troye at all costs.

"Con da Bon!" Tyler greets his friend, hugging him quickly then putting his suitcase in the trunk of Connor's car. "Nice car! Is it new?" Tyler asks, as he sits down in the car. "It's pretty new..." Connor trails off, once he is in the car he pulls out of the pick up area. "Jeez, did LA get bigger?" Tyler gawks, looking around at the city around him.

"Probably not, you're just used to your small town." Connor states, keeping his eyes on the road. "So, did you book a hotel room?" Connor asks, and Tyler nods his head. "Of course. I wouldn't want to intrude on you and your boy toy named Troye." Tyler laughs at his own joke, to which Connor rolls his eyes. "Have you been waiting to pull that joke?" Connor asks, quirking an eyebrow.

"Don't come for me!" Tyler yells, and Connor sighs. "So, any special men in your life?" Connor asks. "Of course." Tyler answers nonchalantly.  "Who? Do I know him?" Connor asks, suddenly interested in his friend's love life.

"Oh, you know Korey..." Tyler trails off, and Connor's eyes widen. "No way!" Tyler and Korey had been best friends since university, and they moved together to Oakville, a suburb of Ontario. As friends, of course.

"It just kind of happened!" Tyler smiles, and Connor smiles too, knowing that his friend is happy is all that he needs. "I'm happy for you two." Connor admits, trying to keep his eyes on the road. "The Four Seasons, right?" Connor asks, and Tyler only nods.

After dropping Tyler off at his hotel, Connor felt worried at what was to come of his boss finding out about his relationship with Troye.

"Babe, I think Sam may have released the tape." Connor admits, and immediately Troye's face falls. "What do you mean?" Troye asks. "I thought you took care of it..." He trails off, and Connor nods.

"I thought I did." He admits. Now, had two choices. He could face the potential fall of his position at Common Culture, or he could show Andrew the tape of Sam and James. But, he can't fight fire with fire, it would also risk getting his job taken away.

"So... What now?" Troye asks. "We wait, I guess." Connor sighs, running his fingers through his hair. "I'm sorry, babe. I shouldn't have gotten us in this mess." Connor apologizes, but Troye puts a finger over his boyfriend's lips. "Stop, don't say that. This is not a mess." Troye whispers.

"I can't kiss my own boyfriend in public without worrying that someone will take a picture!" Connor yells, his eyes widening after he is finished. Troye's face falls, and he stands up. "What, is this just not worth it for you anymore?" Troye challenges, but Connor stands up beside him.

"Of course you're worth it. I just have to work this out, and pray we both don't lose our jobs." Connor huffs, and Troye sits back down, looking more sad then ever. "Why did I have to fall in love with my boss?" He whispers, but Connor hears perfectly well. His eyes widen, and he sits beside Troye, grabbing onto his hands.

"Y-you fell in love with me?" Connor whispers. "Of course I did, Connor." Troye groans, turning his head away from Connor. "I love you too, Troye. I fell in love with you too." Connor whispers, and Troye turns his head back towards his boyfriend. "I love you." Troye whispers, and with that he slams his lips onto Connor's.
