I flopped down on the king size bed in my hotel room. After drinks with the guys, we all decided to order pizza and play some video games. Unwind, bond. I sat back up and fished my phone out of my pocket. Slightly drunk from the drinks I found myself squinting at the time on my phone. 2:04am. Well shit. I tossed my phone on to the bed and let myself fall back with a huff. I had lost track of time... I had made plans to talk to Krystin. I rolled over and sighed. Fuck it. I shot up off the bed and collected my phone as I pulled the piece of paper out of my pocket and began to punch the numbers in slowly. I placed it on speaker phone and began to pace back and fourth as it rang. I was about to hang up on the fifth ring when a groggy, yet soft voice sounded from the other end.
Krystin: H-hello?
Andy: Krystin!
Krystin: Who is this? And why are you calling me at two in the morning?
Andy: It's AndyI heard a small intake of breath from the other line.
Krystin: Andy? What are you doing? It's two in the morning
Andy: I told you I was going to text you... but I lost track of time with the guys and I didn't want you to think I forgot about you or ignore you
Krystin: I know you wouldn't do either of those, Andy. It was the last show of the tour. You guys wanted to spend time together and unwind. I totally understand
Andy: You're right. Does this mean I'm allowed to call you later? And possibly take you out for coffee? There was silence from the other end of the phone and I started to grow impatient and slightly worried. What if she didn't like me? Or want to see me? What if I was being stupid and coming on too strong? But... then again, all I did was ask her if she wanted to go for coffee with me. I quickly shook this thought from my head as she giggled.
Krystin: Andy, I would love to go for coffee with you. As for calling me, I gave you my number for a reason
Andy: Really? That's great! Go back to sleep, I'll call you when I wake up and we'll make plansWith that, we both said our goodnight's and ended the phone call. I smiled as I undressed down to my boxer shorts and crawled into bed. I was eager to sleep, knowing that the faster I slept, the sooner I'd get to see her again. That night, I had dreamed of her and our coffee date. I awoke with a start due to someone banging on the door of my hotel room. "Hold on!" I managed, my voice still laced with sleep. I quickly pulled on a clean pair of black skinny jeans and a white v-neck t-shirt before shuffling to the door lazily. I unlocked it, only to be greeted by the guys pushing their way in. "Guys, why are you here so early?" I asked as I stretched with a yawn. "Dude, its one in the afternoon..." Ashley said while shaking his head. "Shit... really?" I said more to myself than anyone else as I collected my phone off the night side table. "What are your guys' plans today? I myself will be a little busy..." I stated as I grabbed a bottle of water out of the mini fridge in the corner of the hotel room. "Oh?" Jinxx asked. "What plans could you possibly have that you made between beers last night and sleeping?" Ashley asked with a laugh. "I have a date, actually. And I made it last night before going to sleep, thank you very much."
All the guys looked at me funnily. "With who?" CC asked. "Krystin, from the concert." I replied with a half smile. Their expressions were amusing. "Please tell me you didn't drunk call her..." Jake said while rubbing his face with his hands. "So what if I did?" I asked. "Dude! You better hope you didn't say anything stupid!" Jinxx exclaimed. "Oh shut it guys, she was actually really excited about the date! I'll have you know, I'm not an idiot!" I said trying not to laugh. "We're just looking out for you dude." Ashley said as he raised his hands in surrender. I chuckled and shook my head. The great thing about us as a band is we had each others backs. Clearly they all seemed to approve of her... I just hope that things between her and I work out.
