I arrived home to Toulouse meowing continuously until I let her go outside. I swear sometimes she's such a little diva.

I grabbed my laptop to start on a paper that's due next week. You know just to get a head start on things. Because if not I will probably wait until the last minute like always and I'm trying to be responsible this semester.

Within the next two hours, my fingers flow on the keyboard of my laptop like I'm possessed by the actual textbook and finish my paper by five. The feeling that overcomes me is complete and utter happiness. I swear the best feeling is getting homework done and not having to worry about it.

Putting away my laptop, I call Toulouse inside because it starts to get dark outside. She comes prancing in happily with a lizard in her mouth. She runs upstairs into the office so fast like someone is trying to take her lizard away.

Opening the fridge, I discover that there is nothing to eat for dinner. Perfect. Grabbing my purse and keys, I head to my car to get some dinner.

Parking in the parking lot of the grocery store, I notice there are a bunch of motorcycles here. I really don't want to go inside for fear that I will bump into a chained misfit. But there isn't another store for another twenty minutes and I'm so hungry. So I go with my stomach and get out of the car. Just keep your head down and head for the salad, I keep telling myself over and over.

Walking in, there were a lot of people there but not the kind of people I thought would be here. I pull my checklist out of my purse and begin walking down the aisles. I'm literally so hungry, everything in this store looks delicious. Now I know why people always tell you to never go shopping when you're hungry.

When I'm finally satisfied with everything in my cart, I approach the checkout counter. Putting everything on the counter, I reach into my purse and grab my credit card.

"Your total today is $43.57," the cashier smiled showing her braces. She can't be more that sixteen years old. Ahh I miss those innocent years not having a care in the world. Only really concerned with who your dating or wearing the latest fashion.

"Do I insert the chip or swipe?" You know nowadays these stores need to get their shit together. Always making me feel stupid, but every store isn't the same and its always the opposite of what you think you should do. I swear it's the biggest problem of 2016.

"Oh insert it please," she laughed understanding my frustration. "I think all stores need to get on the same page with each other."

"I totally agree with you," I smiled grabbing my bags and putting them in the cart. "Have a goodnight," I smiled walking away.

"You too!"

Walking to my car, I hear the engines of motorcycles start up. I look over my shoulder and I see the chained misfits exiting the bar. I start to walk faster to my car to not draw attention.

Throwing the bags into the trunk, I slam it shut and curse myself for doing so. I look up slowly and see three bikers coming my way. I quickly push the cart into the cart return section and rush back to my car.

I open the door to only have it slammed shut. I turn around slowly to see I'm surrounded by three big guys.

"What do we have here?" The guy in front of me eyes me up and down. He's big. Like running back football player big. He's has dark brown eyes and black hair. He's very tan and exudes power. Clearly he's the leader of this little group.

"A little petite thing, Randy." The one to my right who has a buzz cut with blonde hair and green eyes.

"She's a cute young thing isn't she," the ginger next to me whispers while getting closer in my ear. His breath crosses my nose and it smells like onions. Oh god I want to gag.

"I think we could have some fu-"

"Some what?" The man behind him interrupts.

"Oh boss, what's up?" The fear in the first man's face becomes apparent.

He finally moves to the side and I see the man from earlier today. His eyes penetrating right through me. He radiates power and clearly demands compliance.

"Finish your statement Randy." The man takes out another cigarette and lights it. He takes a puff and blows the smoke into Randy's face. This guy has a thing for cigarettes.

"Oh um we just thought that..."

"Exactly you thought. You know who has claim here right?" The man takes another drag while waiting for Randy's answer.

"No I didn't know she was claimed." Randy looks around to the two other guys for help but fail to receive any.

"Yes she is. And if you want to spend the next six months in a wheelchair, I suggest you move away," the man warned.

Claimed? I'm claimed? What does that even mean?

"Yes sir," they all mumble at once. They quickly walk away as fast as they come.

"I'm claimed?" I ask quietly. I wonder if he even can hear me.

"Yes, darling you are." He drops the cigarette to the floor and steps on it with his black boot, putting it out.

"What does that mean," I ask looking down trying to avoid any eye contact. I hear him move towards me and stops right in front of me.

Grabbing the bottom of my chin and tilting my head up so we can be eye to eye he says, "You'll know soon enough darling." He smiles as he caresses my cheek. "Don't let anyone mess with you, baby. Just let them know you're with Kaden."

"I'm sorry what? Are you Kaden?"

"Like I said kitten, you'll know soon enough," he gives me a wink and turns around walking back to the group of bikers waiting for him. He left me dumbfounded standing outside of my car. He gets on his bike and starts it and everyone follows in suit. He rides past me and gives me a nod. I'm soon left in a grocery store parking lot confused as hell.
