Jacob.

"Okay but..why are y'all bringing me into this? If Elijah doesn't want to go who gon' fight him?" I shrugged.

Michael and Elijah came over to my house this morning and decided to disturbed my beauty sleep. Out of all people. I love these guys but sometimes, don't nobody feel like dealing with them and their unnecessary issues.

"Thank you Jacob. You know, you're getting on my good side."  Elijah patted my back. I swatted his hand away playfully.

"If Elijah doesn't go, you have to go." Michael said.

"And who agreed to this? I know it wasn't me!" I was taken back.

"Jacob don't be a bitch now."

"Michael don't you have some other people that can go with you?" I asked.

"Its last minute, so not really. Mr. Gonzales has them doing something else. So is y'all gon' help us out or what."

"Nope." Elijah and I both said in unison.

"Nigga."

"Michael let's go back to a time where we met Jaren, okay. I'm sure we all remember that time. See, he asked us to come over his house to play some basketball right. Those three guys he was with there, trouble. We was only 16, and witnessed three men murdered right in front of us. And you know what you did?" Elijah said.

I jumped in, "You volunteered us to hide the bodies for cash. Yo' bitch ass got us all into his life because you thought it'd be 'fun'. Worst year of my life." I shook my head.

"Didn't nobody tell y'all to go along with me." He had the nerve to say..

I looked at Elijah, and he looked right back at me. Is this guy stupid...or?

"What? You know damn well you said 'yeah, me and my boys down for whatever' right when he asked you if you wanted to earn some more money without our concent. It's all about money with you.". I scoffed.

"You could've backed out."

"We tried. You know what he said? He told us that once you're in, there's no use in stepping back. Because of you, Jaren basically forced us to do business and threatened us if we didn't." Elijah informed.

"And I'll be damned if we go on this damn trip. Fuck we doing in Kansas? Nigga said we had to get passed security, retrieve the first briefcase, go to the second location, kill some guy who's an enemy of Gonzales... Are we in a video game?" I questioned.

"That's not how it works out. So y'all telling me you don't want to go."

"Yup." We both said.

He stared at both of us, "Alright..fine. I'll let Jaren deal with it. It ain't my problem anyways." He shrugged.

"Good. His skinny ass ain't gon' do shit." I rolled my eyes.

"Now that that's out of the way, how's Tiana and you doing ?" Elijah nosey self asked.

"And why do you want to know?"

"Christy complaining saying you ain't giving Tiana enough love." I laughed. It was true though. Christy called me yesterday and told me to talk to Michael about it. I honestly thought it wasn't my business.

"Tiana just running her mouth. She'll be fine."

"This nigga..you haven't cuffed her yet? Jacob what time is it?" Elijah asked me.

I looked at my watch on my wrist which didn't exist, "Oh Elijah, its time for Michael to receive some common sense."

"Are you both serious right now." Michael responded.

"Deadass." I frowned.

"Before y'all make yourselves look dumb, I did make it official a while ago. So ha!" He pointed a finger at the both of them.

"You ain't smash yet right?" Elijah teased.

"No I haven't."

Me and Elijah gave him a round of applause that lasted two minutes with him staring at us like we're delusional. "Congratulations man."

"...For what."

"Lasting that long without sleeping with her." I said.

"I'm not a hoe like Jacob if that's what you both are thinking." He laughed.

"I'm not a hoe. I just like to try new things." I grinned. They both gave me a look.

"Jacob you a hoe. Anyways, ima head out since I apparently ain't giving Tiana some love. Bye." He got up and headed towards the door.

"Give her some act right then she'll stop whining." I joked.

"Sometimes you just gotta just be with her. Sleeping with her won't solve nothing." Elijah said as he drank his drink.

"Man move." I laughed and waved at Mike as he closed the door.

I got a call from my phone. I went over to the kitchen and grabbed it off the counter. It was Christy.

"Hello."

"Hey baby! Just called to see how you're doing." She beamed.

"Oh I'm doing fine. How is it over there?" I asked.

"Great, I missed them so much. Don't forget I'll be back in two days." She reminded me.

"Wait really? That's was quick."

"Yeah I told you two days ago Jacob."

"I remember. Well have fun, I'll see you when you get back. Bye." I quickly hung up. I looked up at Elijah and he just shook his head.

"A damn shame."

"Shut up Elijah. I got rid of Sierra anyways." I pointed out.

"You sure?"

"Yes I'm sure. Now go make me a sandwich. I'm starving." I ordered.

"What am I, a maid? This yo' house Jacob." He chuckled and turned on the TV.

I threw a pillow at him, "Do you really think Mike and Jaren are serious."

"Hell no. I'll be damned if they make us go with them."

I nodded and got up to get me something to eat. Whatever they have planned, they can keep it away from us.
