It's been 1 week since we found Katherine and planned our trip to Seattle. My professors agreed that since I had done such a great job with my grades, I didn't have to finish the last week of school.

My parents also agreed to let me go with Damon to see "his cousins" in California. We told them we bought one way tickets, since we aren't sure when we will be coming home.

Now, Damon and I are sitting on the plane waiting to take off. He's reading the paper and I can't stop moving my legs.

"Elena, calm down." He smiles. He sets the paper down and places his hand on my knee. I stop moving. Only because his hand is on my knee.

"I'm just nervous." I tell him. And I am. Katherine and I face timed yesterday. We are both so excited to meet each other. We talked for a full hour.

"So where did she choose to meet us at?" He asks.

"She said we can just meet her at her studio." I tell him and he nods. The flight attendants walk up and down the aisle one more time, before taking their seats. I grab my book and try to read. I make it 30 minutes in to the book before I put it back in my carry on. I stare out the window instead.

5 hours later, were in a car and heading to the hotel. Seattle is so big compared to Mystic Falls. I already love it here. When we check in to our room, we take our bags up and I wash my face before applying a little makeup. I change my outfit and then we are ready to go meet my sister.

"Are you going to be okay?" Damon asks. We are walking down the street since her studio is so close by.

"I'll be fine, I have you." I say with a shy smile. I see him smile back and we make it to her building. I ring the button and wait for her to answer.

"Hello?" She says and my heart speeds up even more.

"Hey Katherine, we are here. We made it." I tell her.

"Okay! I'll ring you in! I'm on the 5th floor." She says and rings us in. We open the door and take the elevator to her floor.

I take a deep breath before we get to her floor. Damon squeezes my hand and we walk off and over to her door. Before I can even knock, she's opening the door and wrapping her arms around me.

"I'm so happy you are here!" She cries into my shoulder. We fall down to our knees. Holding each other. Crying. I never knew I could cry this hard.

I don't know how long we stay like that, but Damon steps aside and let's us have our moment. When we stand back up, she shows us inside to her studio. I introduce her to Damon and tell her he's my best friend.

"I spent all day yesterday cleaning. I had so many papers thrown around and toys." She says and I look at her.

"Toys? Do you have a dog?" I ask and she smiles.

"No, I have a 3 year old. His name is Jonah. He's at his day care right now though." She says and hands me a water. I take it from her in down half the glass.

"You have a son? Wow, do I get to meet him?" I ask her.

"Of course. I pick him up at 3:00 and we can go get dinner or something tonight, if you want?" She asks and I nod. I take her hands in mine.

"I can't believe I'm actually here. This is all so crazy. Where do we even start?" I say and she laughs a little.

"Let's get to know about each other, and then we can start talking about our parents and stuff." She says and I nod.

"You first, tell me everything I should know about you." I smile at her. She runs her fingers through her long hair, just like mine.

"Well, I've lived in Seattle since I was 3, I believe. I knew I was adopted cause my parents look nothing like me. I'm a 2nd grade teacher at the elementary school a few blocks away. My son is my whole world. His dad, passed away a few months ago. He was sick. But we loved each other and I'm okay now, I know he isn't suffering anymore." She says and I can see that she truly is happy. But god, I feel so bad for her.
