"hey, y/n. is it true?" sungjae asked. "what is?" you glanced at the couple. "that the headmaster set you and jin as permanent partners for the whole year." joy replied.

"yeah. why?" you sighed, laying your head on the table. "girl, why aren't you happy? you're partnered up with the kim seokjin. there's only a seven in two thousand chance of hanging out with him. and you're one of the seven." joy pointed.

"he's my nemesis for goodness sake, joy. it isn't good to be partnered up with someone you hate. especially if that person has put you in big trouble before." you spat, running a hand through your hair in frustration.

"what kind of horrid trouble did he put you in that you're dreading to be his partner?" sungjae asked, slinging his arm over his girlfriend's shoulder.

"is him accusing me of stealing his money horrid enough?" sungjae choked. "money? how old were you guys then?" joy asked. "we were in primary school. i got suspended from school for two months and sent to some attitude camp to fix my behaviour. it only increased my want to kill jin." you clenched your fists.

you looked at the couple who were laughing their asses off. "oh come on, guys. you know how upsetting it is if you get suspended by a school you just got into. it was only my second day there and after the two month suspension, everyone judged me and no longer saw me as the warm-hearted kid." you whined out.

"okay, it might be hilarious but i admit, that's quite bad. so if it wasn't you who stole his money, then who did?" joy slapped her boyfriend's back to stop him from snorting. "no one knows the truth but i suspected it to be that he was lying the whole time. because after he said his money went missing, he was at the convenience store buying gummy bears." you mumbled out as you traced the hem of your shirt.

"now, that's some freaky shit." sungjae laughed.
