Dear Shawn,

I've tried to write this letter more times than I can count. I promised myself this was the last one. The final one. The one you would see. And Shawn, we were friends. We are friends, at least I hope we are.

Seven years. That's how long we've known each other. Since elementary school. We were only distant friends then. Played on the play ground together sometimes and had the same teacher.

Five years. That's how long we've been best friends. Ever since we had to do that project in Michaels class. We wrote a song as our book report and have never left each others side since then.

Three years. That's how long it's been since your music career really started to take off. It happened overnight when one of your covers blew up. We celebrated with a lot of cake and a Harry Potter movie marathon. That was one of my favorite days.

Two years. That's how long it has been since your first time touring with an actual musician.

One year. That's how long its been since I last saw you. And I miss you Shawn. I miss you more than you know. I have to tell you something and I really hope it doesn't mess our friendship up.

Three years. The day we had the Harry Potter marathon. That is the day that everything changed. For you and for me. It was the start of your whole career and the start of me falling for you. And when I went with you to your first concert, I knew.

Two years. That is how long I have been in love with you.

You are my best friend and I hope with all of my heart that this doesn't hurt our friendship. I just couldn't hold it in anymore. I needed to put it out there. I wish you the best of luck for your concert on Friday. I'll be there, somewhere. Cheering louder than everyone else.

I love you. I miss you.
