chapter 14

the Ride to the bowling alley was long and awkward. mia and niall were sitting in the backseat, while me and Harry were upfront. Harry reached one hand over mine. I've always been careful about driving. I would always make sure both hands were on the wheel. the way Harry just draped one wrist over the steering wheel made him seem wild. until he made a bad joke about cheese. Niall finally broke the silence.

"that was horrible.

"what? no way it was good right cayley ?"

I was hesitant to answer because I didnt want to hurt feelings, but finally I agreed with Niall while mia snickered.

"at least someone thinks it's funny."

"who me? oh no I was just thinking of this Chuck Norris joke."

after niall said how much he loved him, mia and him talked the rest of the way. we pulled up to Green valley bowling alley about ten minutes later. while niall and mia went to our lane, me and Harry went to go get our shoes.

"so,it looks like they are getting along good."

I looked over at niall and mia and smiled. "yea they are. they are adorable."

Harry chuckled "but not as adorable as us." he planted a small kiss on my forehead. while he did that I seen the guy working there get out his phone and call someone, so I didnt bother to thank him.

once we gave niall and mia their shoes, Niall spoke up.

"I think we need a match. boys against girls, or dates against dates, or we can shake it up big time and let it be me and cayley vs. mia and Harry."

me and mia smiled at each other. mia said "girls against boys"

once the game started it was goodbye worlds cutest couple and hello world war 3. at first me and mia faked being bad just to get them cocky, which worked. I heard Harry whisper to niall that they had this in the bag. I gave mia a little nod then the game was really on. mia got a strike. she turned around and flipped her hair at the boys "haha."

Harry and niall looked shocked. when it was my turn I also made a strike. Harry slipped a few times.

mia turned and looked at me " do you think we could get them those kiddie bumpers so the ball won't go in the gutter?"

"it would still go in the gutter."

Harry yelled "I heard that!"

"so boys what does the winning team get?" I asked

"a kiss." niall said hopefully

"nah that's too boring" mia added "losers have to run around the place screaming "I'm a big fat idiot"

Harry and I laughed

"hey! that was not funny it hurt." niall yelled

the rest of the game went by fast considering we kicked their butts. sadly it was time to go. we went out the building to find poparazi snapping photos of us. I shielded my face so I could see. "how did they find us?"

" how did they know this place was even on a map?" mia mumbled. Harry and niall seemed to be use to it because they got us through to our car with one hand dragging us and the other pushing them away.

once we were in the car and driving off, Harry let out his rage. "How in the hell did they know we were here?!"

"well," niall pointed out "we didnt really stay low key. anyone could have snitched."

"true." Harry said "I just want one vacation no paps, no one trying to ruin our reletionships."

"they won't ruin anything." mia said.

"maybe we can go some where else. all of us" niall added.

"where?"

I didnt hesitate to answer. "claytor lake."

"what?" niall asked

"this lake a few hours away. I have a lake house down there. mia and my family go a few times over the summer. we both own houses and a boat. everyone can come."

"a lake,fishing sounds good. how private is it." niall asked

"pretty private." mia said "only good friends live on our side and they are all gone for the next three weeks."

"a week away sounds good." Harry said" do you think your parents will be cool with it?"

I had to think about this normally they wouldn't but my brother just bought a lake house four down from ours, and he left to go there for 2 weeks. "yea." I said "they would."

"then it's settled."niall said "claytor lake here we come!"
