Dear diary,
Today is the first day of school! So excited! I haven't seen my best friends in months! You know them, Mason and Tyler! I've been gone for so long, I hope they haven't forgotten about me... That would suck. :(
But I'm sure that isn't the case! It's only been one summer where we haven't all hung out! Mason, Tyler, and I are still really close! I know it! Oh! I got to go! I will tell you all about my day when I return! -Kat
Katrina ran down the stairs, red hair bouncing up and down. A big old grin on her face. Dashing into the bathroom, she stripped down to her bra and panties. She stepped on the scale and checked her weight, "225? Yes!" Okay, so she was a little over weight. So what? She was happy with herself and so were the people around her. No one around her wanted her to be this tiny thing that was all bones and no meat. Hopping off the scale, she got dressed. Putting on a lime green hoodie, black shorts, and white sneakers, Katrina made herself look nice and ran out the bathroom. Her mom was in the kitchen, cooking breakfast for Katrina's little brother, "Katrina! Don't forget ye spell book!" Right when Katrina was about to open the door, she slapped her forehead, "Oh! Right! Thanks Ma!" She grabbed her book and shoved it into her bag then ran out the door.
At school, she stood at the front of the school, waiting for Mason and Max to show up. They eventually did. But they weren't together. Mason showed up first. He was... different. Quieter and he almost looked tired. Katrina frowned and walked up to Mason, "Mason?"
Mason blinked and looked at her, "K-Kat? What are you doing here?"
Katrina giggled, "The same reason you are here, silly. I'm going to school."
"I know that. But I thought you were still in Ireland. You never called when you came back."
She rubbed the back of her neck, "Yeah... I kind of couldn't..."
Mason raised an eye brow, "Why not?"
Katrina laughed nervously, "I kind of lost my phone while I was in Ireland..."
He finally smiled and started laughing, "Oh my stars! That is so like you, Kat!"
She smiled, "What can I say? I'm clumsy and forgetful."
"Hey, dork!" A voice called.
Mason turned and sighed, "Oh no..."
Katrina frowned, "Who is it?"
"Tyler."
