Epilogue

It was years since Liam Payne was gone from the world. it was years since the boys of one direction was over. Each boy going into different directions. No one ever thought the death of Liam Payne would cause a whole ripple into the world especially Tony Everett. Liam Payne wasn't dead, he was now Tony Everett. Tony would always remember who he was, he'll remember the boys and being in love. Tony walked into his apartment in Australia with his now husband, Richie. He have been with Richie for years and even though Tony wanted to tell Richie about who he used to be. He couldn't do that at all. Tony had one kid with Richie and Tony even owned a restaurant that was successful in Australia. Tony left his whole life which included his family and friends. He was at the restaurant now currently looking at the customers that came in and right there, he saw Zayn Malik, his ex boyfriend. Tony acted like it was no big deal. Tony looked nothing like Liam, his hair was different and his face had piercings now. Zayn was now staring at Tony intently. Zayn thought Tony looked like somebody he used to know like Liam Payne.  Zayn walked up to Liam when the restaurant was getting to close and he just stared at Liam in shock. All of the workers were now gone and so there in the restaurant stood Liam and Zayn just how it was back when they first met. 

"Liam" Zayn called out to Tony and Tony sighed. 

"My name is Tony" Liam responded to Zayn. 

"No, you're Liam Payne" Zayn exclaimed to Liam and Liam sighed once again. Liam tried so hard for Zayn not to catch on but here Zayn was in front of him. 

"Zayn" Liam finally put down his guard. 

"How could you do this to everybody? Did you know how much we cried for you? Louis went to rehab because he started using drugs and Harry broke it off with Louis and now they don't talk to each other at all. Niall got a tattoo in honor of you and you know Niall was against tattoos but here you are in Australia" Zayn ranted to Liam and Liam looked down at the ground. 

"I didn't want to leave but I had to. I knew that Lucas wasn't going to stop until he knew I was dead" Liam informed Zayn but Zayn just kept shaking his head and looked down at Liam's hand. Zayn noticed Liam's hand had a ring on it. 

"You're married" Zayn exclaimed to Liam and Liam bit his lip. 

"Yeah I am, his name is Richie" Liam sat down at the counter and Zayn sat next to him. 

"Does he know that you're lying to him about who you are? You go by Tony Everett now" Zayn stared at Liam and Liam fiddled with his hands. 

"Are you going to tell people that you saw me" Liam was staring back at Zayn. 

"Nobody would believe anyway and Niall and Louis and Harry already went through so much" Zayn stared in front of him. 

"I saw the funeral" Liam announced to Zayn and Zayn turned his head. 

"So you really did like to see your friends cry for you" Zayn exclaimed to Liam and Liam bit his lip. 

"I did what I did to protect you guys and myself. You can't hate me for that" Liam folded his arms across his chest. 

"You should have told us and what about your family. They cried for you" Zayn was trying so hard to talk sense to Liam but he knew Liam was one of the stubborn ones. 

"I couldn't risk anybody know about the plan" Liam tried to grab Zayn's arm but Zayn shook his head at Liam. 

"You gonna lose everything Liam, you going to lose your husband and that child you have. You already lost people" Zayn stated to him and Zayn walked out of the restaurant. Liam followed Zayn and pulled him back. Liam stared at Zayn. 

"I really missed you. At your funeral, I realized that I was still in love with you and I thought if I could see you one more time, I would confess and beg and beg for forgiveness for what I did to you when we were younger" Zayn confessed to Liam and Liam had his mouth opened. 

"I loved you Zayn, I did but you broke my heart and I was damaged" Liam finally said to Zayn after ten minutes of both of them looking at each other and Zayn's driver was honking the car. 

"I hope he treats you right. Despite everything, Liam you deserve to be happy" Zayn looked at the ground while rubbing the back of his neck. 

"He does, I love him" Liam smiled at Zayn and Zayn forced a smile. 

"He treats you like a prince" Zayn questioned Liam while they held each other's hand. 

"Yeah he does. He accepts me for all my flaws Z" Liam said to Zayn and Zayn just nodded his head. 

"I'm happy for you. I need to go" Zayn finally stated to Liam and Liam nodded his head. 

"If I don't see ever again, I hope you have amazing life Tony" Zayn gave his hand to give a handshake from Liam but Liam pulled him into a hug. 

"I'll miss you" Liam whispered in Zayn's ear and Zayn wrapped his arms around Liam. 

"I miss you too Tony" Zayn pulled away from the hug and Zayn got into his car and left Liam on the sidewalk in front of his restaurant. He waved bye to the boy who once held his heart, the boy who healed him and bye to the past. Liam locked up his restaurant and entered into his home. He kissed Richie on the lips. 

"Anything interesting happen" Richie asked his husband Tony aka Liam and Liam just smiled. 

"Nothing really, I just got closure" Liam told Richie before snuggling up to Richie on his chest. The TV was on and their daughter was asleep. 

"I love you Richie" Liam kissed his husband cheek. 

"I love you too Tony" Richie responded and Liam got up to change into his pajamas and he found a note from Zayn.

Liam put the note in a box and that's where it stay for years to come but Liam would never forget Louis, Zayn, Niall and even Harry but this was his life right. Maybe it was time for him to come home and stop pretending that he could be Tony Everett.
