THE CLAPPING HADN'T AFFECTED CHRIS SO MUCH AS HARLEY seeing as it was her first time being interviewed with Jimmy since she had launched her music career, and Chris was just there as her guest. But nonetheless she waved at everyone in the audience on the way to her seat. Jimmy greeted them both with a smile and a handshake when they sat in the blue chairs.
"Hey guys! How are you?" He asked the pair. Harley grinned, "I'm doing well! Thanks for asking." Chris nodded, "Same here."
"So, the first thing I've got to ask; how exactly did the two of you meet? I mean I know it was before all this, but how?" Jimmy asked. Harley bit her lip and looked at Chris to answer, which he did happily. "Well, my parents needed a babysitter for my sister Carlson- because they didn't trust me. Rightfully so. And they found Harley through her parents, she was going through school and could use some money you know. So we met the night she came over,"
"And I believe I was in the kitchen, and Carlson was in the living room with Harley. Then, Harley came in to get some water and she was really quiet. Like, the most quiet person I've ever met. So I introduced myself and she did too, and then whenever she would come over we'd have light conversation. I had a massive crush on her by the third time we spoke, when she brought us cookies from the Great American Cookie Company."
"See, it's true. You get to a man's heart through his stomach," Harley joked through her blush. She had no idea that Chris had liked her in that moment, but she had since the first time that she saw him. "Exactly! That's adorable. So are you two... together now?" He asked.
"No, no. Not yet," Harley said. The audience 'oooh'd' at that. Jimmy nodded thoughtfully before he moved on. "So, Harley, how exactly did you transition from modeling to the music industry? That must've been a huge transition."
"Yeah, it definitely was. I'm not done with modeling, I wouldn't just say goodbye like that, of course I wouldn't. But for now I'm really focusing on my work in the music industry. I've always loved to sing, I was just never confident enough to do it. So when I talked to my manager about it, he really just kind of hugged me and said we'll figure it out. And we did, so that's great! I'm so happy, and thankful that my fans are loving it."
"Well you sound absolutely amazing, I'm loving Side to Side. The lyrics are interesting. Especially the bicycle one," He said. Harley laughed and Chris felt himself grinning just looking at her giggling. "Yeah! Yeah, um Nicki and I really liked that one. Exercise is important kids!"
"Oh, god. That's... wow. I love it. So, Chris, what have you got coming up?" Jimmy asked him. "Right now I'm filming a few different things, that I'm very excited about. I'm on break for a bit, though, just being with my sister and Tom. I feel like that's really important," He said.
"Yes, of course! So how is she doing? With the trial news?" He asked. "I think she's doing alright. Sadly, she dealt with this for a long time before she was actually able to speak up. Tom really helps her a lot, I think." "So, did Tom speak to you before the proposal?"
"He did! We met in a coffee shop, and he asked if I would be okay with him proposing to her. I was more than happy to give my blessing. It was hard at first, because I kept wondering what would happen if it didn't work out, but now I don't worry as much."
"Good! I'm so glad. That's a gorgeous ring he picked out. You met Carlson again the other day, right Harley?" Jimmy asked. "Yeah! I did, it was so nice to see her again. She's really grown into herself. I love Scream, and I'm a huge Marvel and DC nerd so I can't wait for Homecoming. She's still so sweet and kind."
"That's awesome. Hopefully I'll meet her soon. So, you ready to perform for us?" He said. "Yeah! I'm so excited!"
"I'm so glad. Alright everyone, Chris Evans and Harley Marino! We'll be back after the break with Side to Side and Kristen Bell!"
