*1 Month Later*

Friday rolled around quicker than I expected. One minute it was Monday morning and I was cleaning plaque of this old man's rotten teeth then I blinked and it was Friday evening. Jacques and his girlfriend Beatrix had just collected Dominic for the weekend and I was preparing for another date with Corey. Tonight was our one month anniversary since he suggested that we made it exclusive. We weren't going to a restaurant like all the other nights that we had met. He was coming here for the first time and I was cooking us dinner. I nearly had a heart attack when I came back from work. I never really realised how messy the house was. There was clothes and toys (mainly Dominics lego) everywhere. Once Dominic left with his dad I rushed around the house tiding everything. By time I was finished I had half an hour before Corey got here to get ready and start cooking.
It made no sense getting all dressed up if I wasn't going to leave the house so I just put on a pair of jeans and a T-shirt.

I was chopping up the peppers when the bell rang. I went to open the door but not before stopping to fix my  hair in the hallway mirror.
When I open the door Corey's standing there with a bunch of flowers in his hands. Dressed in a tight white tee and grey sweatpants he looks gorgeous and I start to get hot.

"You going to let me now that youve  finished undressing me with your eyes?" He chuckles. My cheeks redden even more at this comment and I step back quickly so he can come inside.

Once he's taken off his shoes he leans down for a kiss. It was meant to be an innocent peck but I think I surprised both of us by adding a little tongue which extended into a full make out session in the narrow hallway. Everywhere he touched my skin burnt with desire and I just wanted to scream "Take me!" My shirt was half way off when he froze.

"Do you smell that?"
Frowning I sniff under arms while rambling "I definitely had a shower_"

"No you smell gorgeous." He chuckled. "I think somethings burning."

"The Lasagna!"
My face dropped and I ran towards the kitchen. Banging open the oven smoke streamed out revealing a burnt lasagna. The smoke alarm started going off and Corey started waving the flowers in the air. Without  thinking I reached forward and tried to grab the lasagna dish with my bare hands. It took a few seconds for my senses to register it but when they finally clocked on
Pain shot through my hands.

"Shit!" I screamed as I dropped the lasagna dish on the floor. It smashed to pieces and the floor was covered in glass and "lasagna"

"Taura!" Corey grabbed me by the wrists and led me away from the mess and to the sink running the tap over my hands. Tears started to run down my cheeks.

"Corey I'm so sorry... I tried to make everything perfect but now it's ruined and-and-"

"Shhh" He hushed as he pulled me into his chest. "It's fine we can just order take out... But these burns look pretty bad... I think we should go to A&E okay." I nodded into his chest and sniffed. "Keep running the tap over them while I clean up this mess." He let go and began cleaning up the glass and lasagna.

"Thank you." I whisper.

"No problem baby." He wrapped up the glass in newspaper and put it in the bin.

I stood at the sink staring at the pink flesh I could see peeking out in certain places.

"Here put these slippers on and put this wet towel around your hands. I'll drive you to the hospital.
