After helping Damian, having a shower of my own, and almost falling asleep myself, I heard shattering glass, and a thunking sound hitting wood. I shot my eyes open and grabbed a katana, sprinting downstairs. Once I got there, I saw a rock with paper rapped around it, surrounded with tiny pieces of glass. I looked at my watch. 4:38. I hated watches for two reasons, one because of being broken to bits by a bomb because of a timer, and another because I never really got to sleep in training. Once a month, we got to sleep for as long as we pleased, but Damian would always drag me out of bed to go training with him.

I put the katana onto the floor and picked up the note. In magazine cutouts the letter read,

If you wish for your precious bat family back, send Veronica Wayne to the court of owls,
We wish her presence.
We will be waiting as we have injected poor Damian with a button activated bomb.
We can be found by tracing Bruce Wayne's utility belt.

~Head Master

A.N.- Cheeky bastards.

I looked around for a moment. Was this meant for Tim? I asked no one. But unfortunately I'm never truly alone, am I?

Calculations agree that this note is directed to a relative of you, and not directly you.

Tim's asleep, Damian's out cold, and, Alfred, is, well, just Alfred, I guess.

I sat in the room thinking for a minute before deciding that I'm technically off duty right now, and that I'm fricken tired. So putting away the katana and laying in bed left me out cold within seconds.

^---whoosh, whirrrr, whirrr, "what time is it Doctor?" Amy asked. "It's... morning."---^

I awake to hear a girlish scream followed but some cuss words and a few, I'm bleedings.

Well, I guess Tim's awake. I got out of bed and remembered that I didn't clean the floor after the glass last night. I stretched and dragged myself out of my room, not forgetting the note I had left on the floor.

"Darkness!" Tim yelled, not knowing I was only a few feet behind him.

"Tim, I'm right here man." I told him. He turned around and jumped a little. "What's wrong?" I asked, seeing a contorted look on his face. I looked at my face in a glass shard, and saw splatters of blood and a dark dust. "Sorry dude, I'm a little bit tired still, what time is it?" I looked at the still rising sun. Tim checked his watch and at the same time we both said, "7:46."

"How...? Never mind." He asked, and I looked to my adopted little brother. "This was thrown from the far right, about twenty-four feet up that pine tree, if we go and check the centre to left branch just up that tree I suppose we could identify the location it was thrown.

"Or we could skip that shit and actually do something productive by looking for the location of father." I breathed out.

"Or we could do that." Said Tim, and thus began to research the location of the belt.

.^\^.

"Two more rights, a left, another right, and go straight three tunnels, and then the wall in front of you should be at the right one." Tim explained through the earpiece as I sprinted towards the court.
