Chapter 18:

I unlocked the front door and walked into the living room. Mark was in the kitchen and opposite him was Mike!!.
Mike? What does he want?

Jennifer's P.O.V :
This is just great ! First Amy acts all weird.. Then my so called dad show's up, now Mike's here. He better have a damn good reason to be here.
'Hi Dad. Long time no see'.
Wait ! Did Mike just say what I thought he just said?! Oh-My-God !!
'W-What did you just say?' I whispered only 'Dad' heard me. I looked over at 'Dad' with a shocked look.
'Is there more your not telling me?' I half-yelled at him.
He sighed and sat down looking over at Mark. He quickly turned back at me took a deep breath, wow he does that a lot...
'Remember I told you that your mum left me because she thought I was having an affair?.' he said.
I nodded and he continued.
'Well, the reason I was trying to stay in contact with my sister was because she let Mike stay with her, because I knew your mum wouldn't be happy if she knew I had a kid. I was planning to tell her but I couldn't find the right time and when she figured out that I was contacting someone, she found someone else. She didn't even give me a chance to explain'.
I'm confused >_< ..
'Okay, I understand'. I lied.
'Your lying'. he said chuckling..
I just looked blankly at him.
'You have that face that I use when I lie'. he said and turning to Mike.
I finally moved from where I was standing at went over to Mark.. I looked at Mark, and he whispered to me so no one else could hear,
'Will I ask them to leave?' he said.
I shook my head. I needed to hear what else they had to say, after all he is my 'dad'. I looked back up at them, they are whispering to each other..
'Wait a minute, there's still one thing I don't understand. Why did Mike nearly attack me?' I asked trying to accuse them of something.
Mike scoffed. But 'dad' continued.
'Well that's another bit you might not understand too. You see your mum wouldn't let me contact you, she tried everything. No matter what I tried, I wrote letters to you but I presume you never got them. I tried getting your number to call you but I couldn't get that either. That's why I hired a private detective to find you, so I sent Mike to become friends with Mark and get Amy to help too. But please, don't be mad at Mike for using Mark as a friend to get to you, he was only helping me find you'.
Wow that's a lot to take in.. I just looked at him with a blank face.
'Right, I'm ringing mum.' I said.
Before anyone could object I took out my phone and dialled mum's number. After a few seconds she picked up.
'Hello?' she said.
'Hey mum, its me Jen.' I said keeping my voice as normal as possible.
'Oh, hi darling. How you keeping?' she asked.
'Fine mum. Listen mum, I'm gonna cut the crap Dad's here and he's told me everything.' I said trying not to shout down the phone.
She hung up !
