Talia...

Walking in the house, there was no one in the living room but I think I could hear my parents shuffling around upstairs. I guess I kind of got away with it? Its not like I lied about anything..but I didn't say I would be with a boy.

Let me stop over thinking this, it's not like they know anything and it's not like I did anything I'm not supposed to, I thought.

This is how I know I'm not used to hanging out with boys, I'm already freaking out over nothing.

My phone buzzed with a text.

Unknown Number : Hey gorgeous 😘 its tyree

I smiled and went upstairs to my room so I could text him in private.

Me : heyy 😌 what are you doing, still driving?

Unknown Number : pulling up to my crib rn. Save my number though

Me : just did.

Tyree : what you put? Chocolate 😏 ?

Me : loll no I put your name silly

Tyree : won't be that way for long I bet

Me : and what does that mean lol

Tyree : you'll see

Knock, knock!

My door opened and in walked my mom.

"Hey babe, you okay?", she asked softly.

"Yes" I said with a small smile. "No homework, I plan on relaxing hard."

"You deserve it, as much work as you do. At least it's the weekend," she chuckled. "But okay, get your relaxation on. I'll try not to bother you." She left, closing my door.

With no one bothering me, I knew I'd have more time to Tyree. I couldn't wait to get to know him more and was hoping we could talk on the phone later tonight..

Cairo...

"Baby," I called out to my wife, looking out of our double casement window.

"Yeah?" She walked over to where I stood.

"You think the neighbors got a new van?"

We both put our full attention on the plain white construction van that was parked on the opposite side of the street, in front of a neighbors home.

The windows were visibly tinted, keeping us from looking in. If the sun wasn't in the process of setting, we would've probably had a better chance of seeing if someone was in the driver's seat.

"I don't know, maybe..", she muttered.

We stared out the window for a couple more seconds before walking away. As soon as we left our position, we heard an engine start up. Looking back to the window, we caught a glimpse of the back of the van as it sped away.

9:20 PM.

Talia..

"You actually still play '21 Questions'?", I laughed. Tyree and I, both laying in bed, were on FaceTime and he asked if I wanted to play that game.

"You don't want to?", he answered, laughing too. He had the most beautiful smile.

"I think it's a stupid excuse guys use to ask girls freaky questions."
