I woke up to find Nia's leg wrapped around my arm and her hand in my face. I rolled my eyes and groaned my way up to the shower grabbing my phone and some clothes out the drawer. When I got in the bathroom my phone read 6:50 am, I still had about 3 hours til I had to be at school since school started at 9. I hopped in the shower and washed up then stepped out walking over the basket I sat my clothes in putting on my bra and underwear then walking into the room to change. When I checked the time it said it was "7:15" As soon as I walked in I saw Nia up and awake laying down on her phone.
"Oh shit you scared me." I said as I sat my clothes on the bed picking up my Odd Future shirt to put on.
"Eh you moving from under me woke me up so here I am." She flashed a big smile before digging her face back into her phone. "Why are you up so early anyw- Oh yeah you do meet up with Zeek today don't cha?" She teased.
I rolled my eyes and slid on my shorts before jumping on top of her. "Shut up, I just wanted to have a head start on the day"
sShe rolled her eyes playfully and nodded "yeah whatever, more like head start on that dick, I'm gonna go shower. I'll plug up the curling irons for you and curl your hair since you didn't let me dress you." She frowned her face playfully "I guess the "odd girl chic" look works for you though, the curls would tie it together."
I laughed and she hopped out the bed and into the shower.
*45 minutes later*
Nia had finished my hair and we made our way down the hall to Isaiah's room. I knocked on the door and started to make a beat with it when Nia pushed me out the way.
"You know his dumb ass isn't gonna answer to that"
Nia banged her fist against the door
"You've got 3 seconds to open the door before I fuck up your life, and it's several ways I can go about this you and I both know" Nia yelled as she banged.
Isaiah instantly opened the door giving Nia a deadly look like "I will beat your ass" he went back to his bed and sat down.
"What did you want?" He said to us as he looks down at his phone uninterested in what Nia had to say .
Nia rolled her eyes "you need to get ready, you always make us late."
He looked up at us and I nodded in agreement, trying to make the situation bright I added in "please?"
Isaiah smiled at me a little and then looked at Nia rolling his eyes "Give me 15 minutes and get the fuck out."
Nia flicked him off "Clean up this dirty room and invest in air freshener you fucking stink" she said as we made our way out and he slammed the door locking it.
Between me and Isaiah I think he had a little soft spot for me, whether it be he saw me as a sister like Nia, maybe a nicer one but a sister at most or that he thought I had a crush on him like I pretended to have in 8th grade. I used to pretend flirt with him and laugh about it with Nia. I don't think he ever caught on that it was a joke despite us laughing all the time when he was around.
*20 minutes later*
We were in the car on our way to school when we took a sharp left instead of going straight like we usually do for school.
Nia looked over at Isaiah in confusion then at me as I looked at her the same way.
"What the fuck are you doing, we have like 30 minutes until class starts you better stop playing." She said as she folded her arms
Isaiah just kept looking at the road then finally spoke "Zeek asked me to scoop him we won't be late we're almost there and it ain't that far from school so stop crying."
When I heard Zeeks name tensed up a little and Nia looked back at me with a "I'm sorry I had no idea face" and then we hit a stop and I seen Zeek walking towards the car and getting in the back seat right where I was. He dapped up Isaiah and then sat back in his seat sitting his backpack on the car floor.
"Thanks for picking me up on short notice bro" Zeek said sliding his seatbelt around his body and locking it.
"No problem you know I got you." Isaiah said as he started to drive back on the route to school. He turned on the radio and started to tap his hand on the wheel.
Zeek greeted Nia then shifted his eyes on me. Examining me and my outfit. "Ahh, hey Kinsley" he smiled at me and then reached him his bag grabbing my diary out and reaching out handing to it me.
I smiled and greeted him back "Hey Zeek." Before putting my hand out to grab it, our hands touched for a moment and I swear I felt electricity or something. He smiled at me when I grabbed it and hurried and pushed it into my backpack. The rest of the ride there I looked out the window trying not to make the ride weird but I felt Zeeks gaze on me. When we reached around the corner from the school Zeek tapped my shoulder which slightly had me shook but I turned around.
"So how about I meet you and Nia at your last class with Khalil and we can ride to the mall with him." Zeek smiled. I nodded in agreement
"Oh yes being Khalil fine ass" Nia spoke out in excitement. Isaiah pinched her arm causing her to scream and we all laughed.
We started to pile out the car and I hugged Isaiah thanking him for the ride then waved to Zeek as me and Nia departed away from Isaiah and Zeek who were going the other direction.
The day passed by quicker than I thought it would and before I knew it the last bell for my class had rung and me and Nia were walking out. We spotted Khalil and Zeek right near our door as we exited.
"There's our lovely ladies" Zeek smiled at us as he walked over putting his arm around me. I got chills all over me but I tried to play it cool. He was touching me. Good lord he smelled like heaven and his skin was so soft.
"And lovely they are" Khalil spoke as he grabbed Nia's binder and folder and carrying it for her. Nia blushed a little "Can we get some Tokyo express at the mall? That lunch food is disgusting and I'm hungry." Khalil chuckled at her and nodded in agreement "Of course, especially since I know the food at school is barely edible." We all laughed at his joke as we piled into the car.
Today seemed pretty okay.
