LAURIE's POV:

Me and mommy left the house. She said we would never see Daddy again. I was kinda happy. My bum bum still hurts from the belt. I didn't mean to drop his phone. It was an accident.

But Cookie always makes me feel better. He's my best friend. We talk to each other all the time.

"Where are we going?" Cookie asked me.

{BTW Cookie is a stuffed animal, but Laurie pretends that Cookie talks to her.}

"I don't know. But we're not going back home." I told him.

"Why?" Cookie asked me again.

"Because Daddy hurt me."

PEYTON's POV:

"I don't know. But we're not going back home." Laurie said, randomly.

Sometimes she talks to Cookie as if he was a real person.

"I don't know. But we're not going back home." Laurie said again. I looked in the rear view mirror, and she was facing cookie.

"Because Daddy hurt me." Those words broke my heart.

"I don't want to go back home anyway. Daddy scary."

I didn't want to listen to this anymore. Since Cameron's house was a 2 hour drive, Laurie must be hungry.

"Hey honey. Wanna eat McDonalds?" I asked her.

"Ahhhh! Yes please!" She squealed. I laughed to myself. "Okay then." I took a left and a few minutes we were at the McDonalds drive-thru.

"Can we eat inside Mommy?" Laurie asked me.

"No sweetie. We need to get at Cameron's house as soon as possible." I didn't want to give Liam a chance to find us.

"Who's Cameron?" She questioned.

I was so busy to leave the place, I didn't even tell Laurie where we were going.

"Cameron is a old friend of mine." I explain.

Then it was my turn to order the food.

"Hello welcome to McDonalds. How can I help you?"

"Hi um can I get a happy meal with chocolate milk, number 4 with coffee please?"

"Wait! Cookie want carrots!" Exclaimed Laurie.

"Okay, anything else ma'am?"

"Uh can I get carrots too?"

"Of course you can. That would be 7.56$. Pull up to the front to get your order." The lady said.

"Okay thank you." I said. I pulled up, and the nice lady gave me the food. She peeked in the back of the car.

"Oh what a adorable daughter you have!" She said.

"Thank you." I smiled.

Before I drove off, I gave Laurie her Happy Meal.

"Yeah! Thank you Mommy!" She yelled. "Here you go Cookie."

I smiled and drove off to Cameron's house. I put on some music, and Laurie and Cookie were TURNT UP!!!!!

It was 9:56 when we arrived at Cameron's house. I got out the car with Laurie in my arms, and Cookie in her arms. I knocked on the door, and Cameron opened it.

"Hey Peyton!" He exclaimed, side hugging me.

"Hey Cam."

"Come on in." Cameron said, stepping out the way for me to come in.

"Sit down." He said, sitting down on the couch.

"Hey cutie!" He said, poking Laurie.

"Hi." She said shyly.

"How old are you?" Cameron asked.

"Um this many." Laurie said, hounding out 4 fingers.

Cameron chuckled.

"How many fingers is that Hun?" I asked Laurie, quizzing her.

"Um..." Laurie counted her fingers. "4!" She yelled.

"Good job!" Cameron said. Cameron held out his hand, and they high-five.
"Who's that?" Cameron questioned, poking to Cookie.

"Don't touch him!" Laurie yelled at him, clenching Cookie.

"Oh!" Cameron jumped back.

"No Laurie. Don't do that. Say sorry to Cameron." I said strictly.

"I'm sorry Cameron." Laurie said, lowering her head.

"It's okay Laurie."

"He's Cookie." Laurie said.

"That's a cute name." Cameron smiled.

Then Laurie yawned, and her eyes were droopy.

"Are you sleepy Hun?" I asked her.

"Yeah." She said, crawling into my arms.

"Uh Cameron, is there a room we can sleep in?" I asked him.

"Uh yeah. Follow meh." He said silly voice. "Here." He gave us a guest bedroom.

"Thanks." I said to him. I laid Laurie down. I cuddled with her, and then when I knew she was sound asleep, I left, and went to talk to Cameron.

"Thank you so much Cameron." I said.

"Oh you're welcome. I haven't seen you in a while. And I haven't seen Laurie at all!" Cam exclaimed.

"Yeah."

"So how's Liam?" I cringed.

"Oh he's good." I lied.

"Okay that's good." He said.

"I have a favor to ask." I said to Cameron.

"Go head. Shoot." He said.

"In the morning I take Laurie to daycare, and she gets out at 1:30. Can you pick her up?" I asked him.

"Oh yeah of course!" He responded.

"Gah! Thank you so much. You're a life saver." I said, hugging him. "I'm pretty sleepy so I'm gonna sleep."

"Sure thing. Oh, uh, do you want food?" Cameron said.

"Oh no thanks. We had McDonalds." I said chuckling. I then walked to the guest room, and found Laurie sound asleep, cuddling with Cookie. I snuggled on the bed with her, and slept with her.
