CAMERON's POV:

I couldn't even watch TV. I was just wondering why Liam would do that to his 4 year old daughter? That discipline is too far. I mean it's kinda annoying that she dropped the phone, but she's 4 year olds! It was an accident. She wouldn't known better. I'm gonna get the new iPhone 7 anyway.

"I'm bored." Laurie said, out of the blue.

"Well watcha wanna do?" I asked her.

"I don't know." She said.

"Wanna build a fort?" I suggested.

"Ahhhh!!! Yeeeeessss!" She squealed.

"Let's go!" I yelled. I snatched up Laurie and raced to my room.

She giggled, and laughed so loud. She's so cute.

I got to my room, and put her down.

"Okay you get pillows, I'll get the blankets okay?" I said to her.

"Okay Cammy!" She yelled. I chuckled at the nickname, and I grabbed a lot of blankets.

I bought them to the living room, and set up the chairs.

I them saw Laurie come down the hall, with 5 pillows. It was so cute to see her stumble around since she was so small. Then she tripped.

"Oh baby!" I exclaimed as I ran up to her. "Are you okay?" I asked, picking her up from the ground.

"Yeah." Laurie replied as she was rubbing her head.

"Okay good. Lemme help you." I said, taking 3 pillows, while Laurie grabbed the rest.

The we made the fort.

"It's so cool!" Laurie squealed.

"I know!" I agreed with her.

"I can't wait to show Mommy!" Laurie yelled.

"I know. Let's go inside!" I said. Laurie crawled in. Dang it! I was too big!

"Come in Cammy." Laurie said.

"I can't."

"Why?" She questioned.

"I'm too big." I told her.

"No. Come in." She demanded.

"I can't."

"Come!" Laurie yelled. Then she started tearing up.

"Please don't cry! I'll come." I tried to come in. It kinda worked.

"Yay! She yelled.

"Please don't cry baby." I said, wiping her tear away with my thumb.

"Okay. I'm sorry." Laurie said.

"It's okay." I said.

We snuggled together, and watched TV.

PEYTON's POV:

My phone was blowing up with Liam's text.

I got home, and discovered Cameron & Laurie snuggled in a fort.

"Hey guys..." I said smiling.

"Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!" Laurie yelled running up to me. She tugged at my pants.

"What is it baby?" I said, kneeling down to her.

"Me and Cammy made a fort!" She yelled.

"Really? Where is Cameron?" I said, looking around.

I saw Cameron peeking around the fort.

"Uh...uh...I don't know." Laurie said scratching her head.
She walked near the tent, and Cameron scared her, and she jumped back & giggled.

"Hahahhahahaha!" She laughed.

"Haha! I got you!" Cameron said tickling her.

"Hehehe!" She said.

"Wow. You guys were busy." I said, smiling.

"Ahhhh..." Laurie said yawning.

"Are you sleepy babe?" I said, picking Laurie up.

"Yeah." She said, rubbing her eyes.

"Okay let's go." I got her warm milk, and put her to sleep in the guest room.

"Hey, can I talk to you Peyton?" Cameron said, after Laurie was sound asleep.

"Yeah sure. What's up? What did Laurie do?" I said, sitting down on the couch with Cameron.

"Um...it's what she said."

"Okay. What she say?" I asked.

"She said that...uh...Liam hit her with the belt. Is that true?" Cameron said.

I can't believe he just said that.

"Yeah. Yes. It is." I replied.

"What happened? Is that why you left?" He questioned.

"Laurie dropped his phone, and it cracked, and Liam got mad, and hit her. I got home from seeing that."

"Oh. That's why..." Cameron said, quietly.

"That's why what?" I said confused.

"Well, Laurie also dropped my phone, and it cracked, and I went over to find her, and I saw that there was a belt on the couch, and I was gonna put it away. And as I was going I found Laurie, she was in the closet hiding from me. She thought I was gonna get really mad, and then she started to cry. Then we built a fort!"

"Oh well, I'm glad that's out." I said.

"Is that why you ran away?" Cameron questioned me.

"Uh yeah. Liam also got mad at me, and he---he--beat me."

"I'm so sorry Peyton." Cameron said, pulling me into a hug. "You can here as long as you like." Cameron said, rubbing my back.

"Okay thanks. My phone has been blowing up with Liam's angry messages." I told him.

"You should probably contact the police."

"I know. I was thinking of doing that. But I feel like it's just too much drama for Laurie. She only 4."

"Yeah, but, it's for y'all's safety." Cameron said to me.

"Yeah. But I'm swamped with work, and I'll just go to the police station tomorrow."

"Yeah. You do that. Do you want something to eat?" Cameron asked me.

"No. I have to work. Bye." I said to, getting up from the couch.

"Okay bye." Cameron said.

I got my brief case, pulled out my laptop, and starting doing my work.
