accidentally
namjoon and taeyin have known each other since 1st grade— that's why her parents allow her to go clubbing only with the presence of namjoon by her side.
she drinks too much, more than her body could process. one drunken night, and she finds herself accidentally expressing her sober feelings for him. they end up kissing, only for her to wake up with no memory of that kiss at all.
but namjoon had her in his thoughts the whole damn time ever since that night— and to make things worse, he's dating her own bestfriend, eunhee.
"have you seen eunhee tonight?" he gripped his steering wheel tightly, his jaw tightening.
"she was all over other guys when i was in front of her!" he spits, looking over at taeyin who was busy twirling the strands of her hair.
"d-do you think dad would be suspicious of me being d-drunk?" she giggled, her words slurring.
namjoon could only chuckle at her drunken state, "i've never seen you this drunk before. even if you were in that state you were quietly talking to yourself in one corner."
he sighed, "why can't she be like you?"
"no! the question should be," taeyin interrupts waving her hands in the air and points to herself, "why can't i be her?"
"why would you want to be her?" namjoon raised an eyebrow and chuckled at her actions which he found cute.
"because for one," she leans herself to her window, "she has you."
"well, you have me, too."
"yeah i sure do," she agrees, looking at the raindrops tapping on namjoon's window. it was the wee hours of the morning, as they drove by the dimly lit street.
"but not your heart."
