"i can't believe i didn't make the team!" johnny pouted as he and kun wandered down the corridors. quidditch season was starting in a few weeks and both boys tried out only for kun to make it as hufflepuff's chaser.

"it's okay johnny. it's not the end of the world. maybe one of the beaters will get hurt and seungjun will let you take over." kun smiled, hoping his optimistic self would lighten johnny's mood.

"maybe." he muttered. the pair made it to the library and found their friend, taeil, huddled around a stack of books. they joined on each side and took out their potions homework.

"yuta for you being a ravenclaw you sure are dense!" they heard from a few tables over. taeil sighed, shutting his divisions book.

"i'm not going to pass if those two don't shut up. they've been arguing even before you two came." kun chuckled as johnny raised his brow, amusement evident.

"are they a couple? doyoung and yuta?" johnny asked. kun, rather than listening to johnny and taeil talk, focused his eyes over near the entrance as he seen three boys enter from his peripheral vision.

his smile fell and his breath hitched in his throat. there, standing in between ten and taeyong was sicheng. his stare stoic as he had his hands stuffed in his robe pockets.

"yo' kun, are you okay?" he blinked twice and averted his stare, turning his head back towards johnny.

he cleared his throat and nodded. "yeah. i just seen—"

"we know. you stared at him like an idiot." taeil laughed, the heat rose on kun's cheek as he went back to working on his homework.

"good luck dealing with him in class." kun sighed, hating that his main friends didn't have classes with him. it was a cursing and blessing to have sicheng in nearly all his classes. blessing because he got to admire him; curse because he was a blushing mess and lee taeyong was always with him.

you would think taeyong had a crush on sicheng if he wasn't already dating ten. or were they dating? kun didn't know nor did he care. his main concern is sicheng.
